Why is this your go to defense? I don’t hate the guy but I’m sure there are plenty of other reasons people don’t like him besides him being Jewish

I thought it was pretty bizarre seeing how often Pearl posted on social media about his political beliefs, but that’s not incredibly different from what Pop and Kerr say on a pretty regular basis.

Kerr and Pearl are pretty similar in the fact that it’s very understandable why Kerr cares about gun control and Pearl cares about Israel.

I dont love it, but as long as their employers are ok with it, I guess its their right to talk about it.

The Bruce Pearl redemption arc is kind of fascinating. He would have universally been called a scumbag a decade ago, this board included

Oh I still think he is but the rules of today basically makes that moot, his baggage is out there and it's significant. Just because Vitale and the press that cover hoops like him he as you say found redemption fairly quickly and completely.

The party of tolerance labels anything they don't approve as divisive

You could see the hate in Wilbon's eyes there. The same look you see in Ryan Clark's eyes anytime they are about to play the victim regarding some bullshite racial or political topic.

Actually, Wilbon said that he became a divisive person intentionally. In other words, it is somewhat of a recent act by Pearl. I have noticed this as well, over the last year with Pearl. A bit of an act if you are paying attention.

Wilbon is right. Pearl's open support of Israel is divisive.

Protesting during the national anthem and every league kissing BLM's arse in 2020-21 was divisive too. Did Wilbon take issue with those things?

There's gotta be some other beef than simply Wilbon taking the "Jews did this" approach; see El Prez.

Wilbon says at the end but cut off...something like, "I hope,he (Pearl) was " shitcanned, fired, dumped to the curb, etc." Paraphrase, but there's some hatred. Whitlock alluded that maybe,Wilbon who is,close to Barkley and Auburn has dirt on Pearl or stories, that bring animosity. Something personal or hush hush behavior by Pearl and Auburn.

Man this is a weird non issue being really blown up.

A guy nobody likes dislikes a guy they don't care at all about but it's a big deal and the guy is a POS because of it.

It's a dude that dislikes a coach. Possibly for a dumb reason. Every person on this site probably hates a coach for a dumb reason, I know I do.
