why in the frick would bama factor in at all? They have zero chance at the playoffs. Less than none.

Are you calling PSU a really good win?

They have two losses to the committee's current #2 and #3.

Doesn't matter what we think. The committee thinks they're a good win.

And to think these are the same people with the same logical gymnastic arguments who used to crown a national champion. They were so butthurt when the first BCS computer models eliminated their influence. Everyone has an opinion and those are usually impacted by objective biases. Keep that kind of stuff in the sports pages, not in reality.

Yep, Michigan alum who knows his school's schedule was absolute shite is trying to make a dishonest argument. A case can be made for Ohio State only.

PSU only lost to 2 top 5 teams, and beat Auburn by 4 TDs at Auburn.

LSU beat Auburn by 4, UGA beat them by 4 TDs at UGA, Ole Miss beat them by 2 TDs.

Are any of those teams good?

At that point, how does it make any logical sense to drop wisky below Bama due to playing an EXTRA game.

Wisconsin WAS undefeated, then they weren’t, and that was the difference.

They lost.

Two one loss teams, both didn’t win their conference, you take the better overall resume.

Wisconsin had their chance and they blew it, just like Tennessee in ‘03.

I hate Alabama. They DID NOT deserve to go in ‘11 (lost are home, and didn’t win their conference, much less their division), but they deserved to be there in 2017.

As noted, I hate Bama, but they will go over a 1 loss Michigan IF some other things fall their way. I hope not, but if they get lucky, then they are in imho.

MICHIGAN HAS PLAYED ONE RANKED OPPONENT THIS YEAR. I feel like I'm taking fricking crazy pills.

Only SEC schools and Ohio State are allowed to lose their conference and make the playoffs

Michigan needed a miracle 4th down on an illegal pick play plus a field goal to beat Illinois in Ann Arbor.

They’ve played ONE ranked team in Penn State. They struggled mightily against Iowa and Maryland.

I don’t care if they lose to OSU in quintuple OT, they don’t deserve to get in.

Michigan loses to a lot of teams below them.

They deserve nothing.

That's pretty much the first game that Michigan didn't take over in the second half. And they were without their two best RBs and TEs. Even if we put aside LSU's losses early in the year, they scraped out a 3 point win against your second and third string QBs two weeks ago right after losing to Liberty. So, let's not act like they are totally setting the world on fire.

They don't deserve that treatment.

Michigan certainly doesn't.

If it’s close game and lsu loses to uga , then I’d be ok with the loser going.

Tcu, usc, lsu, all have tough games ahead.

If they play a close game, say the final score in 31-28. I can absolutely see both teams getting in.

Hopefully either UM or OSU wins in a blowout and essentially eliminates the other. Yes, UT blew out LSU, but it’s obvious the committee is placing value on teams finishing strong.

Let’s be fair. It was really cold for those southern teams to be playing that day.
