This isn't a black thing...it's a Kaep is an idiot thing.

The fact that Vick came back and got into the good graces of the league tells you it's not a color issue, it's a baggage issue.

The fact that Kaep supporters, who are dumb enough to believe this is a race issue, are so ignorant to the other possibilities is almost comical.

If he was a great player, he would have a job. If he didn't take stances on hot button issues, he'd have a job. It's pretty simple.

no but if I'm taking to two kids, and one as PTSD from a concussion, ill know why he may have certain behaviors that the other doesn't.

im just considering the circumstances and backgrounds of people and how their judgements are influenced by their history and perceptions

None of this erases the fact he was raised in Wisconsin by an upper middle class white family. Not even flying to Ghana for Independence Day and calling it "home".

It all comes off as trying too hard. Nothing "hella offensive" about it, unless someone is insecure about themselves or what they believe.

Where do we see them making grandiose political statements on camera, while doing their jobs on the football field on national TV?

There are no insecure mulattos in black fraternities? Seriously, am I being Punk'd? Is Allen Funt about to step out of my PC and show me where the hidden cameras are? 90% of my college friends were A Phi A, and they would tell you exactly what I said. Light skinned cats deal with a type of blackness insecurity. When it hits them, they tend to act out in extreme and visible ways.

Awww. That's cute.

But don't play a game then try to cry foul when I play by your rules.

Blackness insecurity? Who gives a shiit, be strong, confident and independent in who you are and don't use race as a crutch bc that's only gonna limit people rather than empower them to achieve great things. There's no black/white dichotomy like the media LOVES to create, there's only humans and all are capable of achieving influential things if they use their minds ie the most dangerous weapon ever.

Pound for pound Mike Vick might be the most talented player to ever play in the league. Yes he committed horrible acts but he paid his dues and did his damn time. He came from a true troubled past.

Kaepernick is the face of pussies that envy not having equality. He wishes he was born in a time where he had a legit gripe about American society. Yet his real parents abandoned him and a white family raised him. He's an attention seeking bum. frick that guy.

I respect CK's right to speak his mind on whatever subject he wants. But football is a business.

I think he's wrong headed and I vigorously disagree with the idea that he's being black-balled for being "too black". That implies all black people have to have identical opinions or they are selling out. Individual freedom implies the right to have any opinion you like, whatever your demographic.

FWIW I haven't seen anyone saying CK doesn't have the right to say what he wants to say. Both freedom of speech and civil disobedience are potentially noble actions when used for a moral purpose.

Kap's blackballed because he was too political publicly which is a cardinal sin in the corporate world which the NFL and endorsement-related enterprises are, simple as that hence why no major corporations take controversial political stands at a massive level with some exceptions. Hell, most corporate jobs prohibit their employees from expressing such beliefs in the public sphere so there.

He can stand for whatever he wants on his own fricking time. You people that act like he is a victim need to understand as an employee you do not have the right to bring negative attention on your boss without consequence. Not to mention he opted out of his contract last time I checked.

There are 100 better ways he could express himself, get his point across and speak his mind on his issues that are better and more effective than the one of the main ones he chose, which IMHO is more of a "look at me" thing than anything else.

He has done other things behind the scenes, but the anthem thing was a poor choice. Absolutely he has the right, I think its comical that folks think that is the problem many have with it, but having the right does not absolve one of consequences for poor choices.

He knew this was career suicide if he carried on doing what he was doing if he didn't win games

If I've learned anything from the NFL they don't care if you've committed assault, armed robbery, attempted murder, or believe in god damn mermaids (Will Hayes: Hard Knocks) AS LONG AS YOU ARE WINNING

Kaep didn't win therefore he's out of a job. Open and shut case

You just can't take him seriously. He took this stance and was the face of the anti-status quo America in sports. Then he didn't even get his lazy arse to a voting booth. Distracted his team and derailed his career over politics and couldn't even participate in the most basic political representation.

Some of you need to learn the definition of blackballed. There was no consensus or secret ballet, teams just don't want to sign him.

Backup talent? He's better than the loser QBs that start for the Broncos, the Jets, the Browns, the Bills, etc. He was 16-4 TD/INT last year in the WEST COAST OFFENSE and has an effective running element to his game, he's gonna be on a team contributing at some point, no question with that talent.

He's not better than Cody Kessler at this point. Including the Bills, who have Tyrod Taylor, kind of makes me think you don't know what you are talking about.

Just to drop a little more knowledge on you, neither the Jets nor the Broncos play a scheme suited for Kaep. If he is forced to be a pure pocket passer, he would be putrid.
