Michael Vick's advice for Colin Kaepernick? 'Just go clean-cut'

I understand Mike..and I think these are things for private consumption..

Mike is not wrong, but Mike has been begging for forgiveness for 5+ years. He will not rock any boat or express any non PC opinion. He's on borrowed money and wants to stay in everyones good graces. So I understand his position.

But for Vick, as ex-con, to basically equate his crime to Kaeps gesture, is in a normal and equitable world, off base, but he is right because the NFL is basically treating him like an ex-con.

Vick ia basically saying, "You're too black right now and you're scaring off everyone. turn it down." Which is a sad reality that I hear for some men of color in the public forum. Kaep should be who he is and its a shame that WHO he is is hated by so many people...and that looking out for the disenfranchised is so frown upon.

I disagree that Kaep needs to speak out -- what has he done thats so harmful that he has to beg to get back in the league? What penance tour does he have go out on? His tape speaks for itself and his resume does too (he's better than at least 32 rostered QBs right now). He's a man with integrity and shouldn't compromise it.

Nobody wants Colin Kaepernick right now because a lot of people are turned away by his "stance," and nobody wants a borderline back-up quarterback bringing unnecessary, negative attention to a team. It would be a circus, much worse than what players like Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson brought.

Quite honestly, he's not important enough, or good enough, to warrant the attention he's getting and will get were he to land on an NFL team.

Leave politics out and go play football.

Oh so he can't stand for what he believes in? What he is standing up for is noble cause.

its only negative because those offended by it are snowflakes. The irony.

The owners and the coaches never do this and the players are 100x more important than them

I hate the term "too black
". It is used whenever someone black does or says something disagreeable - as an excuse.

He was free to say whatever but he can't use "too black" as an excuse when there are consequences. I am sure you believe OJ got in trouble for being too black.

It's not being a snowflake to be offended by someone who openly shits on the American flag.

Nah OJ thought he rose above blackness until he saw how quickly his "color-blind" followers picked racial sides during his trial.

What else would you say that Kaep did? He went from suspect, 2 stepping, shimmying, cane twirling, low caesar kappa boy to fro and pick, cornrows, national of islam steez.

Some would say he went "afro-centric" on em.

He's already said he'd stand for the anthem if someone signs him. Sounds like he compromised pretty quickly.

Kaep has pretty well stunk lately. Why would any team want him if he also happens to be controversial? Its a business. If he were good enough someone would give him shot. Otherwise ........next

Kneeling for the anthem like an unpatriotic cocksucker.

You mean kneel. And I never said he couldn't do it. But no one in a free market is forced to put up with his clown show.

No. It. fricking. Isn't.

How was it? He felt like the flag hasn't lived up to its billing to all people. Thats undeniably a fact. Whether you should kneel or stand for it is your 1st amendment right. Y'all are acting like he burned the flag.

Do you really know how many POC have felt the same way for decades? You'd be shocked, because he is not alone. I guess that makes them bad or worse americans.

At ball games, when i have my hand over my heart, i tend to scan the crowd to see who doesn't have a hat off and who doesn't have a hand on their heart. When i see it, i don't think "what a scum bag", i think "what made them feel the way they do and why do they not feel like the flag has been fair to them?"

It could a lot of things, and personally, I think its more important to listen then to just bash as if we all have the same experiences. because we don't

It's like the hot-crazy matrix, except you replace hot with talent and crazy with distraction.

TO was danger zone most of his career until his skills eroded. Then he was no go.

Kaep is below average and high drama. That's also no go. Only difference is if you're below the diagonal line in the NFL (low talent, even less drama) you're a benchwarmer instead of a no go.
