Megan Rapinoe is often known for her strong statements and bold stance. In episode 1 of the Netflix documentary, she said, “I always say it’s the worst job in the world, because if you do your job, then you were supposed to, and if you do one hair less, then you are gonna get lambasted for it.”. This shows the high expectations and standards the fans have for the team in every game.
The journey on the pitch for the 38-year-old did not go to plan. She missed the penalty in the World Cup game against Sweden. Her final club match for OL Reign also did not well. She started the NWSL final. However, she suffered an injury that forced her to get substituted after 6 minutes.

She sure had no problem with her last hurrah with the USWNT when she really should have been off the roster up until she got blamed for the team not having the prior success it did.
People knew going in it was a politically stacked roster riding on its laurels rather than one which was likely to succeed and made comments as such before it happened, IIRC.
