Poor factory workers in 3rd world countries would probably disagree. But na, being a sports ball player is the worst, particularly a female one.

Her narcissism knows absolutely no bounds.

That comes with the territory of being the best in any sport.

Right, but that is the responsibility of being the best in the world. You have expectations, and they are to win. It's the same for the USA Basketball team, and the USA swimmers and track and field olympians. Real champions don't complain about expectations, they elevate their game and achieve.

Just imagine if LeBron said that. He knows expectations for him have been through the roof from when he was 16. You can hate LeBron all you want (I don't like him myself), but that dude has somehow at least met, if not exceeded, the insane expectations he's had on him his whole adult life

Imagine playing or coaching in the NFL.

Of course, both jobs also make you rich and famous.

Lol, she gets paid millions and put on a global pedestal to play a sport.

If she doesn't do her job well she gets called bad names on the internet.

Yeah, definitely up there for worst jobs.

Does anybody, deep down, actually not despise her? Even people on her “team,” whatever that is, have to hate how she represents them. She is so unfathomably unlikable, that she has to hurt whatever side of whatever movement she’s a part of. On the off chance she ever has a good point, who on earth could stand listening to her long enough to hear her make it?

The national media made virtually no notice of the fact that a home town restaurant took down all her photos that covered the walls for years. In reaction to her liberalism.

I can honestly say I've never watched a second of women's soccer on any level and very likely never will unless I have a grand niece that is good at it and I go to see her play.

My expectation - yes was US Women's soccer should win every game because they - for a while were so far ahead of the rest of the world in that sport, at least that's my perception albeit ignorant of the landscape in that sport.

Then, at least it appears to me - being famous and pimping look at me causes became more important than doing the job and all of a sudden you ain't that far ahead anymore.

Is it Rah-PEE-NO? Or RAP-In-Ohh? I swear they use to call this loon the former.

The journey on the pitch for the 38-year-old did not go to plan. She missed the penalty in the World Cup game against Sweden. Her final club match for OL Reign also did not well. She started the NWSL final. However, she suffered an injury that forced her to get substituted after 6 minutes.

I'd think worst job in the world is being an 8 year old slave in a Nike sweatshop.

I doubt he would appreciate it if you pointed that out to him.

The criticism she receives has little to do with the performance in the sport (at least until she held on too long). And she isn't even criticized by everyone.... she was held up as the center of the USWNT for YEARS and received little criticism for her play.

So, yeah she's wrong.

She whined about gender pay gaps - giving no regards to actual supply and demand metrics between men's and women's sports.

Exactly, which is why she's wrong about it being the "worst job in the world". And if we're being honest, the USWNT doesn't get a fraction of the criticism that other pro athletes do in this country. Even major college teams have thicker skin than she does.

The irony here is that playing for the USWNT is a terrible job, but Rapinoe is the primary reason for that. Carli Lloyd has said as much.

She just described 98% of jobs in the country. So out of touch with reality
