This.

How is there a disconnect with other posters?

The issue isn’t what she did at the time. It was college, big deal.

The issue is that she felt it was a good idea to get on a podcast and tell this all to the world 15 years later when she has 4 kids.

Why would anyone think it was a good idea to do that?

Well considering that my BIL's father lives directly across the street from him and has first hand knowledge of this I would say I do know.

Hope ole Matty got a rock solid prenup. Otherwise he's fricked in that upcoming divorce.

Also surprised a star QB wifed up his teammates sloppy seconds. Especially for an average looking chick like Kelly.

Would I want my girlfriend in college to do this? Of course not.

But I also feel like the level of outrage toward Stafford’s wife here is insane. She didn’t say the back up nailed her, just that they dated (sure, you can imply what probably happened).

Also, I can only imagine if Stafford said he went after and dated another cheerleader in this situation when Kelly provided him no attention that the board would react the exact same way.

No one is saying what she did at the time is an outrage. Putting it on display for the whole world while you have a marriage and four kids is trashy and emasculating to her husband.

Would you want your friends, family, and coworkers knowing your wife dumped you in college, banged your roommate and then you took her back after she made you beg in the car?

Would I do it? No

Is it actually a big deal someone talked about dating someone else over 15 years ago? Also no

Not everything has to be a big deal. Some things can be just line “oh, shouldn’t have sakd that” and then you go back to eating your cereal

Can't help but notice what "men" think what she did NOW was ok. What a vapid bitch. She clearly needs attention and figured out a way to get it.

People in college do all kinds of immature things... That's not the issue here. This is a 35 year old woman with 4 kids whose husband is a public figure being an absolute idiot talking about this shite in public at the extreme detriment of her husband and kids.

it's a completely meaningless story that is very typical and cliche. there's really nothing bad about it and it's mildly funny/entertaining. the outrage is a complete joke. this is like as mild as something your mother in law would tell at the dinner table when you first meet their family and ask how the parents got together.

"oh you know i was dating his friend to make him jealous and it worked! FIL finally asked me out and the rest is history!!"

disclaimer: i could not give less of a frick about kelly stafford and matt was a huge douche bag in bars the few times i ended up around him.

Did your Mother in Law say “ooohh” after describing your friend as a bad boy?

This. The story itself isn’t that bad/kinda funny… in private. Completely unnecessary/probably detrimental to their relationship letting it be known in public.

And the “bad boy” vs “southern gentleman” thing makes it even worse. If it had been reversed and she said: “Matthew was kinda a bad boy, playing games, not committing, and I got tired of it. So I ended it with him and started dating the backup because he was a southern gentleman who I knew would treat me well with intentionality and respect, and it’d also make Matthew jealous. It worked, he came around and grew up a bit and started treating me the right way and committed, and here we are!” then it’s kinda like, okay, that makes sense, and doesn’t make Stafford look as pathetic. Or if she just hadn’t mentioned “bad boy” vs “southern gentleman” at all.

Good to know we’re going Zapruder level with Kelly Stafford videos.

I thought she was saying the “ooohh” based on how upset Stafford got.

Again, talking about it (especially on a podcast) seems dumb but I don’t think it’s nearly as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.
