I think it's probably a combination of things and they're using this as one last reason to cancel the season. I don't really blame some of the guys for not wanting to come back after 4.5 months, having to get tested all the time for COVID, playing in one city, and now you have a social situation that has a lot of players upset.

I don't really get why you would feel the need to sit out. Especially with how much your employer has defended your players' position.

But, if you feel that way, fine. Don't play. But don't push the entire league to not play

Matt Barnes knows all about brutality. Ask the women he's been in a relationship with.

Everyday they give working people more reasons not to support the league. They really are dumb.

Fine with me. No play, no pay, and no rings.

If they truly cared, they would play and donate all of the money to these causes

This is the problem we are facing in a nutshell. It will take at least one generation to see improvements. Nobody wants to wait, but it’s a process.

Problem is I thought we were living in that generation right now.

Good. I already forgot about the NBA, and don't want it getting in the way of football season as it is. Bye

I can’t imagine for the most part these players want the season canceled. They are two of the three teams favored to win the whole thing. Now I definitely think LeBron has thought about it, because he already has an illegitimate championship from that strike season. So if the Lakers won this year, he would have two illegitimate championships and would never be able to live down that he won two titles through illegitimate means

and you didn’t even mention the one he won over the wounded warriors project.

Yep Kawhi shudders at the thought of having to enter the postseason on an equal footing to other stars and he not the only one with a full tank of gas.

How'd that work out for Kawhi last season?
