Because soccer is so boring. Intensely waiting for something that never happens builds up a lot of energy that's got to be released somehow.

This. I made the mistake of watching a video of the cartel cutting a woman’s head off who they thought was ratting to the policia. Can’t ever get that image out of my head. But it really hits home just how fricked up things can get down there.

If you have to have stands separated by prison wire, might want to rethink your society

Well now I’m not sure if I know what it means

Wouldn’t you have to be familiar with that type of stuff for this to hit home?

Same. Now I avoid horrific videos. Although it looked like they drugged that woman up pretty good before they did it.

A generalization of course but it seems like American sports attract more women and children. When I see these soccer matches around the world, it's almost all younger adult males. I wonder if that plays a part in crowds getting out of control. Guys full of piss and vinegar feeding off of each other.

What if soccer was violent and had more action? Would that diffuse or instigate the crowds? The “wild” fans seem more interested in chants/songs and motherfricking the opposing team/fans than The actual match.
