Gotta give it to Purdy. Everyone questioned him after last week and he played his arse off.

He’s still arse. He didn’t win this game. Campbell gift wrapped it for him.

It's insane how lucky you have to be to go to the Super Bowl.

You do know the correct decision doesn't always work out, right?

The correct decision was making it a 3 score game. The risk wasn't worth the reward in that situation. Yes 4 more points would've been great, but making SF score 3 times was better. The momentum completely flipped with the failed 4th down and SF never looked back. Detroit lost all momentum and now you and dcrews can talk about "almosts"

how valuable would that 3rd TO be right now.

they should have never ran a running play at the end.

shluldve had 30 seconds left to get into game tying FG range

Second half so mismanaged

That was a brutal loss. Now we get the “Joe Montana Used to be Our QB” Bowl.

After the failed run why not just line up quick for another play?

As long as you get the play off quicker than 40 seconds it’s better than taking the TO. That was so dumb all around

It is indefensible. By calling the TO, you ensure the onside kick there essentially ending the game. Campbell deserves credit for turning around that franchise but his in-game decisions cost his team a chance at a SB.

Dan was an idiot.

He kicked the 3 at end of 1st half on goaline when Detroit had 100% momentum. That's when you go for it.

He went for it on 4th down when 49ers had 100% momentum.

Anyone who watches football knows that you pick up near 100% of 4th and 2's when you have all the momentum and pick up 0% of 4th and 2's when other team espeically on road has all the momentum.

Whatever halftime speech was given for Detroit did not work and put it in reverse.

Yet 50 of the 116 Super Bowl berths belong to just 6 franchises.

This is correct.

Once SF believed they could come back to win it, the game flipped. Having them down by 3 scores was the right decision.

Defense doesn’t deserve any blame? They were up 17 points

Lions fumbled at their own 22 on one of the drives.

Take that away and they allowed 10 points in the second half.

Story of the game was the four dropped passes, not kicking the FGs and running the ball on 3rd down at the goal line down 10 with under 2 mins left.

100% they should have made it a 3 score game there and kept the pressure on the Niners.

After they didn't get that 4th they immediately gave up that bomb TD and all momentum swung.

Even if SF scores after that it probably takes much longer and the momentum still doesn't swing like it did.
