i trust the kick more than i do converting the 4th. dropping that was more dejecting than a missed kick imo.
reynolds had 2 awful drops.
if they were going to make stupid decisions like that all game then i truly wish they had gone for the td before the half, because i think they had a better chance to convert that. and that would have put the game away.

The crazy thing about the first 4th down is even if you get it there you’re still 25+ yds from the end zone. A TD isn’t guaranteed even if you convert.

Bosa said after the game the dropped 4th down was when he felt the shift and it was felt by everyone else.

1) reinforces that their defense can't stop you.
2) burns more time
3) you still get at least 3 points

Campbell probably spent the entire halftime kicking himself in the arse for not going for the TD.

Campbell didn't drop all those key passes, interceptions and fumble the ball.
That's why he's gotta be the adult in the room and eliminate those risks. 3 scores and momentum. He gave it all away.

Wut?
This is the nfl. You expect your players to make ROUTINE PLAYS.
With the way they were rolling, you trust your offense to execute over a kicker.

You and I will never agree in this particular situation. I agree with going for it in most scenarios, but not this one. There was just too much at stake. Maybe you don't believe in momentum or breaking through the wall of bad luck the Lions have had for 30+ years, but if I had that decision to make, in this game and situation, I'd take the 3 score lead and momentum all day. I said it before the failed 4th down call, it's not hindsight. It just felt like if they didn't get the first this thing was over and sadly I was correct.
