The Owls have 3 wins and had a couple of competitive games against Jesuit and Holy Cross.

With games coming up against Bro Martin and JC Curtis, your boys might squeeze out a W against JC.

Chalmette will probably stay in both games. BM is coming off of the gauntlet and will probably play younger kids as much as possible. Curtis isn't very good and they make a lot of stupid mistakes but they'll probably look better against a smaller team like Chalmette.

Will Chalmette get a boost in power rankings even with losses to BM and Curtis?

I'd really like to see them in the playoffs. At worst, it gives a better understanding of what playing a tough schedule does even if the results aren't great at the time. Curtis will be a nice case study, too.

X factor at this point of the season… what do teams have to play for and how does that affect how they play?

I like how you said “coming off the gauntlet”. I’m wondering if Chalmette and HC back to back for a few teams was a coincidence

I’ll laugh if our current projection happens and we go to Ruston in round 1 in the 5-28 matchup, but it would be historic. We’ve never made the state playoffs after a Catholic League season, not even that great 1978 team. However we’ll probably need Huntington to beat Benton and certain results in 7-5A Friday night if we lose twice. If we win either one we’ll have nothing to worry about.

Ehret leads Easton 14-12 at halftime after a crazy Hail Mary at the end of the first half

Owl, where do you get these rankings? I thought St Charles was #1 in 3A.

Just curious, are you insinuating that BM and Curtis get special treatment?

No bc they weren’t the only ones

Jesuit and St. Aug got Chalmette and HC back to back too

Karr and Rummel got one of the (presumed, of course) bottom 2 in week 4 and the other in week 8. I wonder if that’s how they wanted it lol

They’re in the overall top 25 teams in the state. If a team isn’t in the top 25 then I use the LSWA rank (because not many smaller schools make the top 25)

Projections based on what? Are the based on predicted Week 9 and 10 results or just week 9 results?

Thanks for putting that together. I have been wondering how the next two weeks could affect the current rankings.

Peabody has 31 players, 17 freshmen/sophomores. They never quit, I’ll give them that at least. We ran 16 plays with the offensive starters. 48-0 final, running clock whole 2nd half.

Discovered it last week. It’s a game changer. Some of the game projections are a little off but it gives you a good idea of how the brackets will look at the end of the season.

The whole point is that YOU input the results and it tells you what the numbers will be… play around with different scenarios, especially next week
