Their two commentators are the worst I have ever heard bitching about everything under the sun. Tonight, it was the refs fault in every facet.

That’s a shame because I loved Danny Wimprine on the VooDoo

Good for Ruston. Didn’t WM have a streak against them for a while?

Last time Ruston beat WM was way back in 1990. 32 straight wins by WM over Ruston.

Ruston 35
West Monroe 17 Final

West Fel 43 - Plaquemine 22. Good game for three quarters then WF got two onside kicks and opened it up. 10-0. District champs. Should be a first round bye. Pumped up for playoffs.

I’ve got a relative on the offensive line for Ruston. Happy for him and the Bearcats.

Archbishop Karr outscored Catholic League opponents 249-58 this season. Wonder if they move up to the top 8 in power ratings or will they have to play in the 1st round of the D1 playoffs.

STM tops LCA 41-34

Crazy plays the end when LCA goes for on side kick. I don’t know who came up with the ball, but no flag was thrown and refs made them kick it again. I had the game on VSN so there are no announcers, so I don’t know what the reason was.

They claim they blew inadvertent whistle before STM recovered the ball.

I didn't see any of the Newman game but I heard from someone at the game that the Newman playcalling was bad enough to rival Brother Martin's offense.

Was there, it appeared LCA had it first then STM, then ref on the ground then do over. One of the strangest called games overall I've ever seen.

In 1990, Ruston won their fourth state championship in nine years. That team was probably the best H.S. team in the country in 1990, and maybe the best in Louisiana history.

Ruston was a behemoth. Neville wasn’t far behind, and Ouachita won the 1989 title.
West Monroe was a forgotten team in that district. No one would have believed at the time that 1990 would be the last Ruston victory for 32 years.

Chick Childress retired in ‘91, and Don Shows soon had WM rolling.

Congratulations to the Bearcats for breaking that streak.

Jesuit ran the ball down Rummel’s throat! #3 for Jesuit is a stud RB.

what crazy play happened in the Catholic Zachary game?
ball muffed on 5 by R on a KO, went into end zone, not killed ran back a ways then killed, officials talk, put ball on 20 (correct call). I think at some point a few thought it was an IW at first(either not seeing the ball cross goal and or muff or not knowing the rule.

If kicked again from same spot IW is only way.

Is it bad play calling, or is it an unbeatable matchup advantage somewhere?

Could also be “this game is relatively meaningless to trying to win state, let’s not get anyone hurt” or “let’s give them dummy tape in case we meet again”

Winnfield Jonesboro Hodge. JH punts, it hits the ground and rolls. JH player picks it up and throws it off the Winnfield player. Ref doesn't fall for it but he does mark it where it touched the Winnfield kid, not where the JH kid picked it up. About a 3 yard difference.
this would be correct.
