Is this the first time he's ever taken less than a max contract? Must actually be serious about chasing championships
For sure. Plus if they do win one he'll be the 1st to get a ring for 4 different franchises. Literally just jumping to places with stars in place.

I’m literally shaking. We haven’t won shite since 1983, and haven’t been to the finals since 2001. We’ve had some dogshit teams since then. This is amazing.

Very shocking. I don't know how that's going to work unless LeBron is just going to play the 4 and be a 3rd option that doesn't always need the ball.
Love the black Sixers unis in the OP. Hopefully they go back to those.

How in the world did they get him for just $8m?

Didn’t he do an interview a week or so ago where he used the phrase “trust the process”? Wasn’t that a pretty clear giveaway as to where he was headed?

He wanted to team up with AD, but now he's got a more broken version of AD in Embiid. Will be comical from afar
It’s an ideal place for a vet winding down. He won’t have to run around in the backcourt and can stay low where Embiid is still a force defensively. The pressure won’t be on him and he’ll get good looks from the attention others will get
I don’t think the Sixers have the depth needed for a legit run this year but this is a solid place for him to end up

LeBron playing for the worst fanbase in all of sports will be fun

They need to just hold Embiid out until the last couple months of the season. Maxey, Brown, Edgecombe and old LeBron is good enough to win games in most of the regular season

Philly is made of glass. They won't get past the 2nd round in the playoffs.
I don't really understand this decision.

quote:May sound odd but I don't see how he doesn't lose money by playing for that little
two years, $8 million
He'll spend more on private training, nutrition, travel, gameday fits, etc than he will make in salary

Their bench is trash and no way that core makes it through an entire season healthy

They still arent getting past the Knicks. Shameless LeBron
They need to put embiid in a cryo chamber until the playoffs.

They will easily get past the Knicks

Going from being swept to easily getting past the Knicks when both teams are essentially the same as last year, but now with an old LeBron on Philly?
I don't think so.
