LeBron James and ESPN are “closing in” on an agreement for a behind-the-scenes documentary series that will be similar to Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance,” per The Athletic’s @AndrewMarchand.

The documentary is expected to use footage from James’ entire career, including some never-before-seen footage, and it’s expected that LeBron will also have a camera crew documenting his time with the 76ers this season.

The difference being MJ was/is interesting naturally. Lebron is a total media and PR team creation.

Will this include footage of him reading the second page of a book?

LeBron has a shite ton of stats, but his “story” is lame as frick. The MJ doc worked because he and the 90’s Bulls had a compelling story. LeBron is just an obnoxious retard who muddled his legacy with team hopping and PR self owns.

Just like Last Dance, it will convey a completely biased and one-sided narrative that satisfies Lebron's god complex

Or the horrific, racist graffiti on his gate that caused so much distress that it was erased before any footage was seen or cops called.

No, I won't. Lebron doesn't trigger me like most on here and I do respect his ability and longevity but I'm just not interested in a documentary about him and especially in that format.

Dude

When lebrons teams were making nba finals this board was essentially an NBA message board

He clearly was “interesting”. He was a lighting rod. Once he stopped making playoff runs the NBA died here and for casuals everywhere

while true that the board was insane there for a few years (mostly with the heat) the nba as a whole died for a while thanks to unlikeable stars and games turning into essentially a 3 pt shooting contest. The NBA will start to have a bit of a resurgence now with Wemby and last years and this years talent from the draft class.

Let me just lay out some facts. Is lebron a good player? Yes! Is he the goat? No! Has he had a good career? Yes! Has he had the goat career? No! Is he intresting? No! I, personally, compare lebron to a modern day john havilchuck. A good for his era player that had to suround himself with allstars to win titles. Hall of very good, if not GREAT, but the inability to win one on his own merit takes him down a few pegs
