He’s not wrong, the current state of college football is a disaster.

But Jeff Landry isn’t going to fix it.

Landry is the kind of crook to pass a bill to “fix” CFB and also sneak in legislation that uses federal funding to help Louisiana’s football programs.

He’s an idiot and would frick it up but LSU athletics is one of the largest revenue drivers in the state. He should have a vested interest

This is the part where the power brokers collude to lobby for rules and regs and barriers and guardrails to protect the Big Ten and SEC and thwart the competition.

Oh the irony

Landry is a very very intelligent man. You might not agree with some things....welcome to Louisiana politics, but you aren't smart if you think jeff is dumb.

Landry's plan for college football reform is on ice... while he's off thawing out Greenland.

It doesn’t need fixing. It is fine. The playoffs will continue to expand which gives more fans a chance to see their team succeed. Many teams have been buying players for decades. Transfers have been happening for decades. And coaches have been fired and hired for decades. Leave it alone and let teams spend whatever they want. Most teams have wasted money on players but you never hear about that because announcers don’t say “see that bench player or the guy in street clothes that they are paying $500,000 to sit the bench”.

Yep, but the athlete typically had to sit a season, unless the program they left granted a waiver.

Now it’s non-stop, no-sit transferring.
