only athletes I can think of like this are Roberto Clemente, Pete Maravich, and Payne Stewart. But none of those even come close to the stature of Kobe. So sad

Clemente and Stewart were still active. And Clemente was a huge deal - he was the Jackie Robinson of Latin America.

Any chance the NBA moves/postpones games that are scheduled for today?
Rockets Nuggets are tipping in 15.

It’s a go.

Absolutely sick to my stomach. He was my favorite basketball player of all time.
I’m so sick for his family.

RIP Kobe. I still have his rookie basketball cards. It was a battle between my friends for Kobe and KG rookie cards. Sad stuff.

Why the hell do y’all think everything should be put on hold for this. It is a traffic situation especially if the reports of his kids on board is true. But as another poster said life goes on. They are doing what they can with other sports related events going on.

Oh I dunno maybe b/c nobody gives a shite about the Pro Bowl? I mean frick, not even a bottom line on the supposed world wide leader in sports' main channel even though this game is also running on ABC? Are you fricking kidding me?

You think Kobe would want that?

No. I raised the question because Woj mentioned that one team (not sure who) has already said that their star player is devastated and they're not sure if he'll play.

Joel Embiid seemed emotional on Twitter. Not sure if they have a game today or not.
