OMG I HATE HIM!!! I WOULDN'T WANT HIM ON ESPN!!!

all because you disagree with him politically? lol

I get you, but the guy was a hack of hacks (just like Hannity/Rush) and just comes across as a huge dismissive prick now.

so what?

he gets paid to give his opinion and to do so in a manner that generates ratings.

It blows my mind how people get so up in arms when they know EXACTLY why people do/say things. It's like hating an actor because they played a bad guy in a movie

Fair enough, but it still turns me off from watching. It's just not entertaining to me. Similarly how I won't watch/listen to Hannity, or Steven A./Bayless, or any of the other over the top crap out there. After awhile it's hard to take them serious or view them as a non blowhard(to me) even if they are pretty good in that role. I'd rather watch someone who didn't whore themselves out as a troll and actually made it on the merits of being a good anchor/newscaster like SVP.

fricking this.

I abhor KO as a political douche, but Olbermann/Patrick was the greatest SC duo of all time.

From my name, you can gather what I think of the guy's politics, but I don't think ESPN should only hire wonderful people whom I admire and agree with. Yes, he's a horrible person. That doesn't mean he should be unemployable. Ty Cobb was the biggest jerk in baseball, but he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

True Liberals are elitist by nature.

KO is a monumental douche and a sniveling prick who seems to alienate every employer he works for. That said, he's one of the best baseball guys I ever remember before he went into political hackery for a living.

I figured MLB network makes more sense for him though since he's never been very well rounded with his knowledge in other sports.

I'm not going to turn this into a political discussion, but it is nothing like that.

Your opinion is much more absurd than people who don't like Olbermann and won't watch him on Sportscenter.

Kenny Mayne was good with them, too. It's a grand salami, bring me all your finest meats and cheeses!

Agreed. Which is why I don't think they should hire him. Bristol's a small place and you know what? How you treat people should matter. You pissed away your career there and burnt bridges. Live with the consequences.

Sure, he was a great sportscaster. But that SportsCenter is dead and never coming back. It would actually depress me to see him doing the Coors Light Cold Facts or whatever.

You crap all over people, they then won't do you favors later on. Simple rule of life.

God, he'd be bored as hell and start imaginary verbal fights with anything to amuse himself.

Going back to ESPN is like a College grad going back to Kindergarten.

Did you ever read the espn book? Dan Patrick said Olbermann is the smartest person he's ever met. No doubt Olbermann was great at espn...he's also good enough to switch off anything irrelevant...but going back to sports center wouldn't be a good move for him and he'd shame any idiots on those afternoon shows. He'd need something new where he had creative input.

yeah, Kilborn was a favorite too. Olbermann was good too but the format of the show was totally different back then.

I never did follow Olbermann as political anaylst though. I care about as much for politics as I do about SportsCenter now. Both are just boring as hell to me.
