I was just in Topeka and Lawrence for work. Asked the client what the deal is between Kansas/Missouri hate and he ignored the question and moved on.

The Jayhawks short for Jayhawkers were militant anti-slavery militias during the Bleeding Kansas era and Civil War who attacked pro-slavery and Confederate sympathizers.
Missouri should be forced to change their name to Bushwhackers since that was what people from Missouri who sympathized with the confederacy and invaded Kansas was called.
