I thought this too but he is 7 months removed from losing his mom. He had a lot working on him and the season didn't go as planned at all. He'd be removing himself from his support network and walking away from the opportunity to have a big Sr season. I could be wrong but I think Peeler retains him.

Terry may supplant Blood as the #2 guy but its going to be the Olugbode show in the slot next year.
Id guess this means Johnson is staying but the two guys behind Johnson are gone. Madison stood to be the next guy up. Perhaps they are going hard in the portal after a #1 guy.

Next years two deep looks like

X: Johnson

Y: Manning, Fowlkes

Z: Olugbode, Blood

DT, OT QB, DE, and CB. That is a lot of portal work.

I do think the Freshman DEs are going to take big steps this offseason. I think Hopkins is going to be a good one.

I hope the staff takes some hard looks and uses bowl prep to get ready for next year.

The staff clearly doesn't trust Beau with the passing offense and he commits mind numbing turn overs. The fumble against air on Saturday...yeesh. Give Zollers the practice and bowl game reps like they did with Cook in 2021.

James needs all the TE reps and they need to scrap the 12 personnel looks. I was hopeful entering the season but its been unproductive in the pass game and meh in the running game, especially vs better teams. Go 4 wide or 11 personnel and spread the defense out. Id rather see what Manning, Olugbode, Blood, James, and Johnson can do as opposed to inviting teams into a phone booth to have the TEs whiff blocks.

Norfleet graded out at 39.5......woof

James graded out at 69.3 on 18 snaps.

IDK how they are justifying putting Norfleet on the field at this point. He and Harris are combining for a nothing burger in the pass game and aren't blocking well enough to get the snaps they are getting.

Tristan Wilson

He logged 39 snaps in the game, most of which at Center and had a PFF grade of 69. That was 3rd highest on the oline. Tollison graded out at 49.

Tollison will get the start in the bowl game because hes a captain but based on season long performance the only time he should step on the field is the coin flip.

I should have been more clear in my response to Amish. I was referring to Florida and more so their fan's expectations.

I completely agree that its good thing Laird isnt hiring a new staff in this cycle. We'd be looking at 3 win season next year between Drink leaving and the portal exodus that would have followed.

They arent winning a NC without an elite line and that is the expectation.

Florida is a weird place. It took all time great coaches to win NCs there and both took advantage of Bama being down at the time. Spurrier wouldnt have got a second chance at FSU in 1996 if Texas hadnt pulled a rabbit out of the hat vs Nebraska in the B12 championship game.

They usually have a boat load of defensive and skill talent but are rarely elite at oline.

Success isnt a given for the new guy.

C'mon man. Gabe is calling this season the best coaching job of Drink's tenure.....

Replacing 3 possibly 4 olinmen if Green gets a 2nd round or higher grade

Still questions at QB

Replacing 10 players on the defensive two deep.

Next season will require an elite coaching job to get to 8 wins.

You mean the Andy Reid offense that Nagy tried run?

That dude has a noodle arm. We already have one of those. No thanks.

Agreed.

Beau doesn't have an elite arm which lowers the success rate of several passing concepts. The overall lack of screens and routes to the RBs and WR screens has made no sense to me. Drink's 2021 offense was built around the RB and WR screen game. Badie was great but the rest of the skill group isnt close to what this team has. Not getting Roberts and Hardy in space on the perimeter is negligent IMO.

Manning has been underutilized in the screen game. He gets used as a blocker when he is the one guy other than Olugbode that is a physical mismatch for a CB to tackle.

You think they are playing down to the competition? The next two games should give us a glimpse of what this team is made of.
Death, Taxes, and kU sucking balls
They are blasting HCDG's old employer.....and Barrett's hair....

9 wins, maybe even 10 would have been possible with him.

Not a chance. The QB and WR recruiting was bottom of the SEC.

He developed into a really good player. Too bad he got hurt. He does have another year so I wouldnt be shocked if he rehabs and finishes his eligibility

The article touches on it but I could see Perkins cutting a little weight and playing safety. His athleticism is off the charts.

He is nowhere to be found on this guy's draft rankings
