Wisky's coach is under no obligation to let some idiot run his mouth uncontested because he's a hot head. He may have been a little aggressive with the shake to arm grab move, but that's nowhere near enough to make me sympathize with Howard frankly going insane.

Answer this-Howard felt he was disrespected by Gard.

Why did he swing at a UW assistant coach if he was so upset with Gard?

Howard is exhibit A that money doesn't buy class. He should head back to the South Side.

It’s setting a precedent my guy. Next time it’ll be a little worse somewhere else then that will be excused by comparing it to this. Cmon think.

The coach he punched doesn't work with him. He works for a different University.

Only after Howard pulled down his mask to talk shite.

The fact so many Howard defenders want to ignore that part is comical.

I think you’re being a little overdramatic, especially after he’s already been punished. Odd thing for grown arse successful people to be distraught over. Howard acting like a thug is no threat to my way of life, would be pretty embarrassing if it was.

He was going out of his way to stop Howard to explain their reasoning. He touched his arm to get his attention. There was no malicious intent. It's fine if Howard misunderstood or didn't care and didn't want to be touched.

However, once Howard said don't touch me the coach had already let up and Howard grabbed the guy by the shirt with both hands. Way more of a threatening and physical act.

Then others swarmed around him and he eventually started swinging wildly, but from my understanding he did not even hit the couch who briefly touched him. So it was never about a touch. The dude is a loose cannon. He was so mad he lost. How can you be a coach at this level and react this way?

I believe had the roles been reversed the white coach would have been fired. Probably that very night. Most people taking up for him are only taking up for him, because he is black. It should be about the actions of the person. That behavior should not be tolerated from a coach.

We just want accountability and equality. It sounds like he has a history of this behavior too. He once threatened to kill an opposing coach? Enough is enough. He doesn't deserve to keep a job like this if he can't keep his cool.

You are an idiot if you think white coaches with the status of Coach K, Izzo or Calipari would get fired for doing the same thing. Certain guys are untouchable and Howard is one of them.

Woody Hayes was fired four decades ago for doing the same thing.

Keeping him will likely do the same.

Worse part about this idiotic statement is you're serious.

Wow. They essentially gave him a slap on the wrist. An even softer slap than Juwan gave the other couch.

Their recruiting on the South Side is probably off the charts.

Any player raised by his parents, versus his grandmother, will probably have second thoughts about the UM program as long as Howard is there.

Coaches are subject to suspension for several games by making contact with a ref, but people seem to think it's perfectly okay to make contact with an opposing coach.

What the Wisconsin coach did needs to be addressed by the rules committee. No coach should be allowed to physically accost another.

What I’ve seen online and heard on XM that it’s pretty much split down racial lines what people wanted to happen or who defended the actions of Howard

Is this true? Or am I missing something here? I’ve not seen the video just descriptions of the actions.

What do you think is the acceptable punishment?

Apparently cancel culture isn't bad as long as you are the one canceling.

Eh, what do you think should happen here? He threw a “hand” at a different coach. That’s assault. Brother.

Jim Boeheim is a white man still coaching Syracuse even though he covered up for a well-known paedo.

penn state still supported their coaches after they were raping kids and covering it up for decades.

maybe the problem is the big10 and not the big bad boogeyman 'race'
