...him throwing a temper tantrum demanding to go to a specific team... what other sport does this happen? "I WANT TO GO TO THAT TEAM"...could you imagine Mike Trout demanding to be traded to the Yankees? It's one thing to demand a trade, but picking which team to be traded to.... low brow

I can not watch the NBA...nothing but selfish, entitled prima donnas...

James Harden is a weak bitch... he represents the entitlement of many today...I suck at what I do, so instead I will just throw a tantrum, blame everyone around me for my own problems and make demands that are my way or the highway...

Thats because the NBA owners are completely cucked and for good reason. Its not a very great professional sport to have a league based on because there are only a handful of players anyone would ever care about because there are only a handful of players at the same level.

So you have 30 teams and many billions of dollars in infrastructure and deals tied up on those handful of players.

You either let them do whatever they want or it tumbles down.

Its pretty shitty all around. Why anyone enjoys it is beyond me.

I don’t blame Harden here. Harden could have left several times. But he stuck it out in Houston and signed extensions. He gave Houston 8 years.

But at this point, Houston is backed into a corner. Harden is 31. He knows he only has a few years left as a top player in the league.

If he wants to win a title, it’s now or never, and Houston has no way to upgrade the team except for a years long rebuild. I honestly don’t blame him.

He’s stuck it out with the Rockets longer than most superstars these days stay with their team.

He chose not to join a super team when he could have, and the only reason he’s looking to be traded now is that he’s 31 and doesn’t want to be part of a rebuild.

Agreed 100%. That Nets team isn’t guaranteed a title. Who knows what KD will look like and Kyrie has had his own issues in big games.

I remember a QB whining about not wanting to be a Charger.

Remember that?

Someone wanting to decide where they work? What an a-hole! Let me know when your boss trades you for a bag of Fritos and a half empty Diet Dew and see if you still feel the same way.

Well to also be fair, that QB never signed a contract.

Yes, that QB was an even bigger bitch. He and his father and their games before the draft.

Junior could veto any trade since he had 10 years in and the last 5 with the same team.

The NBA doesn't suck because a player demands a particular trade. The NBA sucks because star players shuffle around the league like an AAU circuit every offseason now. Don't expect local fans to invest in a team as long as the team keeps changing players every year.

Magic to the Celtics?

Isaiah to the Bulls?

Kobe to the Mavericks?

How shitty would that have been.

John Elway threatened to quit football for baseball if the colts didn't trade him at the draft.

Carson Palmer basically quit football until he was free of the Bengals grasp.

Let's not act like this something exclusive to basketball.

The NBA owners asked for this. They wanted more " flexibility " & now NBA max contracts are only 4/5 seasons . It has actually empowered NBA players who are constantly up for Free agency.

Now fans are pissed because players don't show team loyalty when owners demanded these short term contracts because they don't want to commit long term to players.
