All of these teams are rated far too low. There aren’t 30+ teams better than them in the state.

The list is shite. Oak Forrest Academy is #47 in the state? They wouldn’t have a winning record if they played just Tangi parish teams. I’m struggling to figure out who they would beat period from that parish.

I scanned this and unless I missed Ponchatoula hasn’t been listed yet so this tells me they have us rank in the top 29 teams in the state. I love my Green Wave but there is no way. If they turn out to be good I will gladly eat my words.

It's hard to believe we were arguably the best team in the state just two seasons ago.

Their coach was on the news this morning crying about not having kids from Jefferson Parish, but he didn't mention St Bernard.

I really think the LHSAA should go back to fully reporting the specifics of violations. They may or may not have kids from Jefferson but we all know the Westbank is very fertile football grounds. I think JP admin has grown weary of their kids being pilfered. Actually I thought this was gonna be an issue for another school last year too.

We actually had two kids that went from us to Warren Easton.

I feel bad for both of them with this happening for their senior year… but this was just incredibly sloppy. You need to know where you can and can’t go to talk to the kids, ESPECIALLY when you’re under the microscope of being a state contender.

It’s a strike for a culture of loyalty and building your community. Kids that allow themselves to get recruited away by a shinier program stand a chance of this happening.

And I don’t like saying this but kudos to John Ehret. It was said that it wasn’t them who reported Easton, but whom else would it be? They stand up in their community and care, they said “enough is enough” and that’s why they’re usually the best program among Jefferson Parish public schools. They’ve cultivated that over years and that’s why they consistently have their major college recruits.
