The guy was in high school last year. People are bashing him like he's been starting for years or something.

Great athlete and very powerful base/legs which makes him tough to bring down.

But he's a very average passer at best. I'm sure Sark will improve upon this, but he doesn't have great vision or touch, two things that are very hard to teach.

Lmao. He may be the best rb playing the qb position. He is a well below average passer

Our defense "exposed" Hurts

When he ran for his last TD, it felt eerily similar to what he did against us

the problem was...our offense was also exposed during the Bama game

I think you guys are sleeping on the Clemson defense. Top ten defense in the nation; that will give most good quarterbacks fits.

Bama QB have been mediocre for years. The formula doesn't require much more than that from the position. The kid will get better but never be great.

He is a rb, not a qb. The end.

I think he is still an average passer, not awful, but either his line couldn't hold off blocks or his WRs couldn't get open so that didn't help his completion percentage

He probably threw the ball away 10+ times last night

Bama scored 31 on them, and 10 on Lsu. Ok

Hurts will be the best QB in the SEC next year.

He'll have to improve his passing a significant amount.

The gameplan they had to implement with him last night was eye opening.

He runs great when his O-line is allowed to hold defenders.

Dude is a freshman quarterback and his performance wasn't terrible.

He was leaps and bounds better than a non freshman Jordan Jefferson in a title game he lost...

this

some of those balls he was just launching, with no attempt to even somewhat be accurate, was just hoping it reached his receiver

bama's defense did not get exposed. Clemson ran 99 offensive plays against them, meaning D.Watson had the ball for 99 snaps & their defense just wore down. Their starters are NFL'ish, but they did not have the depth this year that they've had in the past. Clemson did to bama's defense what bama's offense normally does to the rest of the SEC. As for Hurts, he turned 18 in Aug. & was voted SEC offensive player of the year for good reason. Clemson was just the better team last nite.

I watched him run away from Arden Key and Jamal Addams like they were in cement.

and when was this?

Alabama had an offense that racked up over 500 yards on just about everybody, but they play LSU, UF, Wash, Clemson, teams with an actual defense, and they barely get to 350.
This Bama team was similar to the 2011 LSU team in that they were so good on defense and everywhere else on offense that the poor QB play was masked most of the time, but came back to bite them in the arse late in the season.

I think it was more Sark. The offense came out flat -- we'll see if thats a short notice issue or a long term issue.

he was never exposed. Everyone knows he is not a good throwing QB. Look at his stats. He rode the teams coat tails.
