That doesn't make him selfish. Selfish is wanting to get his numbers regardless if the team wins or loses. He's confident, not selfish.

Disagree...he can be selfish because he wants to get going. He doesn't want to.struggle and.will put him getting going first and.foremost.

Selfish isn't always bad..my fav player ever john stockton said a lot you have to be.selfish sometimes for.betterment of team.

But he def can.be.selfish

I'm not really an OKC fan but I was about to say this. I'd much rather Ibaka than Harden, you've already got two elite scoring guards, Ibaka is one of the few guys in the league that can do what he does

Mother fricking this. Hard to two good big men in today's game. Plus in a couple of years, Sefalosha could be up there with Harden and will be cheaper.

Jake, you're the only motherfricker I know that watches sports and just thinks about the financials.

It's crazy how OKC has one of the lowest total salaries in the NBA and yet they are stacked.

they're 19 out of 30 and that's only b/c they had durant, westbrook, ibaka, and harden on rookie deals

that will change and they'll either have to make a decision on 1-2 of those or they'll have the highest payroll

it's not crazy: they just hit on 4 straight draft picks

Durant and Westbrook have been extended and are locked up

Ibaka is much more important in the big picture than harden

I'm an idiot for merely hoping Harden and Ibaka sign for a discount?

GFY dude. Never said I thought it would occur only that I hold out hope that it would happen.

For the record you saying Westbrook isn't a PG? His assist/turnover ratio is hovering right around 4/1 in the playoffs. Again. GFY.

Ah, the list I had put them at almost the bottom.

I feel like Harden is being severely underrated around here.

the Durant / Westbrook discussion is a tough one. Westbrook is hyper aggressive on the offensive end of the court and Durant is hyper passive (overall, I know that this changes occasionally).

IMO, the only reason that Durant needs Westbrook on this team is because Durant can be so freakin' passive on offense some times. He "needs" the aggressiveness of Westbrook to create shots for the team and put Durant in a better position to score.

That being said, he may be more aggressive if the offense ran through him instead of Westbrook. Who knows?

What I do know is that it is absolutely ridiculous that Westbrook has more shot attempts in the playoffs than Durant (even if it is only by 3) when Durant is averaging 5 more minutes a game.

westbrook
17/45 in 2 losses (38%) 33.5 minutes/game
7/25 in 2 wins (28%) 38.75 minutes/game

durant
18/36 in 2 losses (50%) 40.75 minutes/game
21/37 in 2 wins (57%) 42.25 minutes/game

Durant needs to be shooting 25x a game and Westbrook needs to be shooting more like 10-15.

i think he's just functionally replaceable more than ibaka...a guy like jamal crawford could be put in his role and you wouldn't lose THAT much. there aren't many guys who can do what ibaka does

I mean, you're definitely right on Ibaka, he's a monster.

But Harden is a shooting guard and I think he shot 50% from the field this season. If he's not a 3rd option playing 32mpg, it's conceivable that he's as high as a 25ppg scorer. Of course you can argue that they don't need a 3rd scorer when they have 2, I'm just saying I don't think he's that easily replaceable.

oh no, they NEED harden

they basically have 3 offensive options on the entire team, and the rest play defense and hustle

last year they went to absolute dog shite when the 2nd unit was on. reminded me of the hornets back in the day when cp3 would sit

brooks has made big improvements on not being focussed on "old" NBA style (big men protecting the rim and 1 perimeter defender). this was perfectly shown when they went small and offensive in game 2 and came back

last year they'd get into shite and he'd all but refuse to let westbrook/harden/durant play together b/c he just had an addiction to having thabo out there for defense.

Sidebar here, but that was even more evident last season with the Clippers than Hornets, as farfetched as it sounds lol.

Yep, he loves him some Thabo. I get wanting to have some offensive power like Harden on the 2nd unit, but the dude should not under any circumstance be playing only 32 mpg.
