Late July through late August is the worst month for sports, especially this year.

Post season college baseball is my “March Madness”. Hell, I’m probably didn’t watch more than one half total of the basketball tournament this year, but I enjoy college baseball post season.

June 19th will have the USA in a World Cup game and the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. This may be the most excited I get for a day of sports for the entire year.

There’s no better way to celebrate Juneteenth than a Soccer/Golf combo.

Agreed. At least it's only a month. This is also where we try to sneak in a family trip and school starts up for the kids, so there's plenty going on. Just a couple of weeks to get by in August and then boom, Week 0 for CFB.

Correct, and I think a large percentage would agree.

And I like MLB. But even I tend to tune out mid-summer baseball a little.

The nba finals, Stanley cup, and the CWS are all taking place over the next 2-3 weeks, on top of the biggest global sporting event starts in 2 weeks, and the US Open starts in 3 weeks.

So…. No. It is no where near the worst time of the year for sports.
If you can’t enjoy any of that then you don’t like sports.

You don’t like a break from sports at all?

100% once the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals finishes. Baseball is beyond boring and soccer is gay. I’m ready to fast forward to Labor Day weekend.

Is there another period during the year that is worst than this current stretch?
Knew a church where the members would volunteer to forego TV for a month. Oddly enough, they always seemed to choose the month of July--the absolute deadest period for sports.

Nope. It’s the week of the dirt late model dream. As long as there is a dirt race to watch it’s the best time of the year.

Most summers I would agree and I would look forward to CFL games and the Trampoline basketball on ESPN, but this year has the World Cup, so from this weekend on until mid July, sports is interesting.

Mbappe will probably be the name of the summer

Pulisic out of his scoring slump yet? When he is on, the US team is pretty good.

College Baseball National Championship and the Stanley Cup Finals is going on right now...

Good stuff.

You should watch more than just football?
