Btw the lakers had a +/- of -39 this season when LeBron was on the court. Why is this guy still getting treated like he’s a star and not a role player?

This is more an answer to the "is he a legend" question. Why are they talking about him like that when he's old and not nearly as good anymore? Legend status.

Why would LeBron need to retire when he's still a really good player?

You can do what ifs all day long. The fact is, LeBron has 4 rings, not 1. The end.

LeBron lived up to every bit of hype when he entered the league. That’s tough for a 19 year old. But he became insufferable. Legend yes -likeable heck no.

Jordan? Probably not. He would have to COMPLETEY change his game.

Jordan was 6’5 and 220lbs and played in an era where there were far more physical and dominant true centers than now. And he still was able to get to the rim at will. He would absolutely feast on the soft arse defenses in today’s NBA.

LeBron playing against the late 80, early 90 Pistons would be interesting. He is big enough and talented enough to still play in that era but too soft mentally. He wouldn’t hold up to the physicality of the game. Just watch how he reacts now when someone barely bumps him. What do think he would do when someone like Mahorn or Ewing catches him with an elbow.

And again, I do not deny Lebrons talent. Personally I would put him in Top 10 all time, but not top 5 and for sure not the Goat.

It is hard to compare different eras. Players today in general are more athletic due to better nutrition and training science advancements. But the game today is so much softer than the past. Heck, they don’t even call travel or double dribble half the time. You can’t hand check now.

This is so fricking stupid
You don’t think if he’s a kid born in the 60s and 70s his mental makeup wouldn’t be different

Also he would be almost as big as just about everyone of those bigs and 3x more athletic than every single one - the 90 nba after magic retired was slow, iso , crappy basketball except for Shaq/penny and Jordan

Literally think of the coolest moment in a MJ commercial

That is what they think 100% of Jordan minutes on the court was.
