2.5% to 3.5% of your home value every year---its does not pay to be house rich in Texas

As cool as it would've been to have a Sonic or Jimmy John's in my high school, is anyone concerned with how fat the kids are getting?
The normal lunch food at a school isn’t much better. And many have several choices that usually includes chicken tenders and burgers etc in addition to the normal daily meal choice

The stadiums end up paying for themselves.
Katy ISD hit residents with $60m bond that the stadium was lumped into. So either way it feels like BS.
I would say a smaller stadium at each school to create a home or neighbor environment would be an improvement.

DFW pays far lower taxes, and they have far more facilities for kids than Houston. People come in from as far (at least) as Colorado to the DFW area for lacrosse tournaments with THOUSANDS of people.

Cheaper than private school tuition plus state income tax in LA.

St. Michael is in BR, no?
Yeah I guess so. I wasn’t sure but I think you’re right. I’ve only been there once for a baseball tournament, couldn’t remember if it was BR or not

Totally agree. My property tax in Ft. Worth went from 1500 to 3600 per year now.

That all looks bad arse. Wish I could’ve gone there.

Indoor is pretty weak considering it’s a new school in an affluent area

I’m not sure about the qualm here.
The US sets up corporations for limited liability, not to create soulless entities. These corporations are nothing more than an amalgamation of people that have the most tried and true sustainable incentive structure, profit seeking. And local sponsorship is driven by local people, especially in those case as those are franchise driven names.
So allowing these entities to support something that will, at worst, not hurt funding in other areas, is a good thing?

Walnut Grove? Sounds like someone was putting “generic high school name” into a school name generator
