Is that not a relative topic for the Texans?
NFL mock draft talk in October is pretty dumb considering there is so much else to talk about just in the football world. And mock draft talk in October is also dumb when you realize teams haven’t interviewed these guys in person yet and there’s still half a season of football left, college and pro.

1310 The Ticket in DFW WAS greatness until recently, the morning show is still good but money and nonsense ruined the rest of the day.

Yeah. Sports radio in general is far too NfL heavy.
I get it, it’s the most popular sport in America… but playoff baseball in October and November deserve more respect.

"A Cumulus station."
Yeah, it started going downhill to me when Danny and Sirois left after never being given a chance to move up. And then Jake and Dan left after being denied additional opportunities for revenue streams which really sucked. I miss Rhyner on the Hardline, too. I'm glad they offered Gen X Davey a full-time spot on the Hardline, but that's not enough by itself to keep me listening anymore.

I always chuckled at how he would not call people by name, even though you knew he knew full well who they were.
talking about this year’s Astros…
“The manager needs to do a better job of filling out the lineup card.”
“The left handed starting pitcher tends to fall apart in pressure situations.”

Just a retired doc from Brooklyn with a thick accent using all his newfound freetime musing on the Rockets backup PG situation or MMP field dimensions.

There's nothing here at all like The Ticket (Dallas) and even that station isn't what it once was since they've been losing a lot of their talent.
There’s nothing like the Ticket anywhere

Sports radio in Houston is an absolute shell of what it was years ago.
Ever since they got rid of radio juggernaut Josh Innes.

92.5/97.5 is what I listen to. Morning is the best show they have. I like the changes they made the last couple of months, the old afternoon show with Cody, BK and the other guy was terrible. Too bad they lost AJ and Fred.
Yeah, the afternoon drive has not been the same since The Blitz ended. John and Lance are still great in the morning, though.

You should come to NOLA and listen to Bobby Hebert and Mike Detellier try to break down pelicans games on 870.
Absolutely hilarious.
Absolutely hilarious.

National sports radio in general is all NFL, with the exceptions of a handful of title games, etc in other sports.
Exceptions include, but not limited to, March Madness, the Masters, NBA finals, World Series, College CFP.
Even on those times, NFL conversations must be brought up, regardless of topic.
Another exception is ESPN Twitter is required to tweet upon the hour all WNBA updates.

I liked The Blitz and I liked Asman and those guys. The Killer B's suck. Their new show, Michael Connor is good in short bursts.
John and Lance are still the best in town and they got Del back.

The fact that a Houston sports radio station isn’t talking almost nonstop about the Astros right now tells me that the station is probably a joke.

All 610 does is Texans nonstop. 790 does a decent job trying to cover the other franchises. Matt Thomas and Sean Salisbury are probably the best on air in Houston. I don't bother with ESPN Radio

I used to love listening to them. When I moved to Atlanta, they were still on. Where did they go? Did they break up?

Why do you need Houston sports radio for the Astros when you have the DAT right here?
