How to fix the BCS system in a very simple way and solve all problems

***(please only comment on this post if you have taken the time to read this post. If you feel this is too long then just skip and do not comment)***
Before I submit my very easy BCS fix, let's first address some problems with the current system and then see how such a fix would address all these problems.
Problems with BCS:
1)No true Champion. This is the only sport that does not have some sort of playoff. It's nice to have #1 vs #2, since 1998, however this is still a mythical paper champion because how those 2 teams got there were voted in, not earned in.
2)The NCAA does not control the BCS, the Bowls do. They are very corrupt and do not want to lose their power or money. Every year we see the most pathetic BCS Bowl Matchups plus many times there is much Controversy of some team being left out.
3)The non AQ's, who are part of D-1 CFB do not ever have a chance to prove how good they are, or if a great rare one could be the best team. How does one really know a undefeated past Utah, BSU, TCU could not of won a Title or how do we truly know how good they were. They were never given a chance for the big dance. The CFB scene is highly unfair.
4)Many times if a team loses 1 game(or 2 depending on the season) they are out of a Title chance. But how do we really know that in a given year the single best team lost a game but only because their was such parity in that Conference that year(ie. Big Ten, SEC). Thus a SEC team may have 2 loses one year, and a Big 12 team may go undefeated one season and match up vs the PAC-12 for a Title game, but how do we know if that top SEC team did not in fact have the best team that year?
Easy Solution to fix the broken BCS System:
1)Create a mini playoff between the Conference Champs of each Conference involving no less and no more then 8 teams.
2)Keep all current bowl games as they are with the exception of the BCS Bowl games and mini playoff.
3)Match those 8 teams in those 4 BCS Bowls. Seed them, play them off. Season could end at same point in time as it currently does.
Rules to this easy fix:
A)Only take Conference Champs from the 6 AQ Conferences. Have all Major AQ Conference's send us your ONE SINGLE BEST TEAM- your Champ, and each Conference decide how to determine their champ(RR, Title game, however). Then leave two slots open only for non AQ teams and Indy teams who are the highest ranked. Keep BCS rankings but only to seed all teams and to find out who the 2 top non AQ teams are. Rotate all BCS bowls and playoff bowls and final title game at end between them all.
B)Most important Point is that it can only have 1 single team sent to this playoff from any 1 Conference. This is not about finding out who has the 1st and 2nd best teams, but only the 1st, and a Conference Champ game can easily show who is not 1st. Adding more then 8 teams just makes season longer. Adding more then 1 Conference Champ would mean some years it might be Same Conference vs Same Conference and the other parts of the Country just DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE SAME REGION PLAY!
Results of such a system would include:
1)More money for all schools, TV, Media, everybody wins.
2)Everybody would get a chance under this system. We would never see a incredible non AQ team such as BSU or TCU type not get a chance for us to really see how good they are. And each Conference would get a chance, no one is out of it.
3)The regular season Conference play would be the real playoff, and the BCS 8 seed matchup would only end of being a Battle of the Conferences.
4)It would really bring out more Conference vs Conference Battles. Just as much as Battle of two teams now with this, Battle of Two Conferences.
5)The final Champ game would be no later in the year then it is now.
6)We finally would see tons of the most incredible OOC games because teams would not care if they lost a big OOC game as they would not be out of it, they can still win their Conference ect. This would bring even more millions to schools from bigger OOC games.
7)We would finally get a non-contested real Champ who really earned it. And fans would all be much happier! And there would be no doubts, all would be happy.
Points to consider:
*As far as Conferences complaining about losing BCS money(SEC for instance)by only getting one BCS game; Well, win your first game and you get another, win again, and you get yet another. No complaints if your Conference did not make more money. Play harder- earn it! This system is the most fair to everyone involved. And it just may be that in a given year a 2 loss SEC team may be better then a undefeated Big Ten team. This Minni 8 team playoff will prove who the best was plus allowing access to all to have a chance to get there. More $ for all parties, everybody happy all around.
**One may have to make a special arrangement to the PAC-12 and Big Ten people(the people in history most often to have fought a playoff)to match their 2 champs in the Rose Bowl, or even better, rotate each Champ every other year getting to play there, but allow access to everybody. keep it fair, but perhaps-only to get the PAC and BTen people to sign on, through them a small bone of something very minor.
***In a perfect CFB world there would be no Indy's(ie ND, Army, Navy, BYU ect..) All would be forced to join a Conference. And this would set well with only Conference champs can be in this playoff. Thus one given year the other 2 non AQ teams to make it might be a MWC and Conference USA team for instance... And if you think this system would make a lot of teams leave their Conference to join others to make it easier such as a SEC team joining the MWC, you are wrong. No team would ever want to give up Rich money from a Rich Conference...

Nothing wrong with the BCS system, doesn't need changing.

in a perfect CFB world everyone would be independent and schedule as they deemed necessary.

gonna have lots of half empty stadiums for these "bowl games"
plus one with no restrictions on the 4 entries is the way to go

This was the first line of my post... And I went out of my way to note this...What part of this sentence do you not comprehend?

stopped reading after you called it a mythical national championship. Bitch excuse by fans who's teams have not won one. If people declare it the championship then it is. There is no playoffs, sorry.

You are honestly the worst poster on this site...

Oregon still wouldn't win it all. Sorry, man.

TL;DR
You mad, We Stylin'
And of all teams, Oregon with that weak schedule and gimmick system should be praying the BCS stays in place.
It's your only shot to ever win a National Championship.

You really think so bro? In my mind the first 4 BCS bowls(the normal ones- ie first round of playoff) would have the same # of people at it. It is the next round (4 teams which = 2 games) and the title game that in theory might suffer. However, can you imagine the joy of your team making it through a Conference champ game, then past the first round lets say at the Normal Sugar Bowl, and now finds itself in the Final 4?
I think the people would show up. But try it for one year and if not, then do that final 4, at one venue, play games back to back. That way only half the fans have to show up to fill stadium(which equals one forth fans from every 4 teams- fulls stadium). I don't know, something creative could somehow fix a dalema if enough fans do not show up. But this would be cool non the less don't ya think?

in most cases false. you earn your spot in two phases: scheduling and games played the regular season.

the NCAA is only marginally less corrupt than the bowls. And I say this only because the bowls are pretty much the most corrupt thing in any type of athletics.
quote:Yes they do, it's called scheduling. Boise had a shot this year but they lost to TCU.. otherwise they'd be in the BCSNCG.

Yeah, and if you lose 1 game in a playoff you're out of a title chance, so what's the difference?

Actually buddy the NCAA would agree with me and not you. For the NCAA has NEVER recognized the BCS Title winner as a Champion as there NEVER has been a true Champion. The definition of a Champion is that they played off to win it. Ie. there never has been a true one and the NCAA will never recognize one until some type of playoff happens. Sorry bro, this is the NCAA saying this, not me!

lsu, one of the best traveling fan bases in the country, didnt show up at all for the SEC CG.
they had already traveled to dallas, morgantown, and planned a visit down to new orleans for the bcs title game.
there is only X amount of funds to go around. you are asking fans to travel too many times.

I didn't know the NCAA was the only one allowed to declare a team champion

I think it should be 8 team playoff- the SEC vs the world.
Top 4 SEC schools matched up against the Pac12,Big10,ACC,& Big12 Champs.
LSU vs Clemson
Bama vs Oregon
UGA vs Wisconsin
Arkansas vs OK State

Sure, and it'd probably be less than how you felt last year before the Fiesta and how LSU fans feel now before the Sugar
A playoff of 1 vs 2 is much superior to me than
1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 23, 18 (TCU would be the highest nonAQ champ), and frick if I know who the independent champ would be. I guess #21 Southern Miss is the next best CC
1 LSU vs 23 WVU
3 Okie State vs 21 SMiss
5 Oregon vs 18 TCU
10 Wisc vs 15 Clemson
yeah, those first round games seem awesome
