He would only have success if he was in a offense that was garnered for him. He wouldnt even play anything beside returner and maybe slot receiver in most SEC teams that are pro-style.
Definitely not the same impact as he has with oregons offense

I was wondering how long before the McCluster comparison came up, because I definitely see that.
That was my closest comparison too. Percy is too big to be a good comparison.

Why are you people bringing up size? College teams RARELY play bump and run D SEC included. Thomas is WR not a RB. If he played in a "pro style" he would be a dominant deep threat like Troy Williamson or Mike Wallace

DAT > than LaMichael James
UT owned
UT finished middle of the pack in conference, along with Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Miss State.
That's 7 teams Oregon players would light up that year...and that's the average every year 7-8 teams would get lit up by Oregon.
And...frankly that could be your entire SEC schedule since you don't play the rest half the time by schedule. DAT could have a 2012 Georgia schedule and destroy the SEC.

The SEC's dirty little secret. Bama's schedule is complete crap besides LSU, MSU and A&M. That's 5 layup games in the "brutal" SEC.

Ouch, the truth hurts.

Theres not a faster, more athletic, more explosive player in college than DAT
Yea, because that is what the media tells you.
And he has a cool nickname!!!!!111
Watch some games man.
Look at mccalebs numbers when he actually had talent around him. He put up 8 fricking yards a carry. Dude is every bit the athlete Thomas is

I've watched close to every game DAT has played as well as every other meaningful college football game this season. If DAT isn't the most explosive athlete in the nation please tell me who is. I'd love to hear this answer.
Also, by talent you mean arguably the most dominant college player of all-time? Sure McCallebb can take a jet sweep around the edge when the entire world is worried about Newton up the middle.
McCallebb is a nice player. The fact that you think he's on DAT's level however is hysterical.

And Percy Harvin didn't have Tebow?
Thomas isnt surrounded by great skill players and a great offensive coach?
I'm looking at him and mccaleb in a vacuum. Of course Thomas is blowing up. He has more going for him in terms of team. Auburn literary has no NFL players on offense.
Again if you can't separate the outside variables and look at them player for player, there is no sense in talking about it

DAT is arguably the most explosive player in college football and a great all purpose athlete, but I do not think Sammy Watkins is very far behind as an all purpose guy...Watkins can also throw the ball.
Also...I think DAT would have inferior stats in this conference but I think it would prepare him better for the NFL in the long run.

None of this "looking in a vacuum" bullshite. If DAT isn't the most athletic, most explosive player in college football who is?
I anxiously await your response.

Bump

No doubt he is a talent, but I really don't think he would have as much space to break big runs going up against SEC defenses week in and week out.
Lots of success on the right team.

I think mccaleb is every bit as athletic & fast as DAT.
Will he be at the Heisman ceremony? Heck no. He plays on a shite team with a shite coach and a shite offense..

Lots...speed is vital in the SEC

In the SEC DAT would have good success. Against the SEC's best defenses he would struggle. Against Bama, LSU, he wouldn't do a hell of a lot.

well its like asking in 2006, who is more explosive/fastest athlete in the NCAA...
most people would say Reggie Bush, but no one would give notice to say Chris Jonhson who played at ECU and was equally as good.
It's a question with no real answer. I certainly think DAT qualifies. And i think there are few more guys that are right there on his level. McCallebb is the same exact athlete. 5'10" or so, 175-180... 4.3 speed....elusiveness...etc
