This is more accurate than comparing him to Percy Harvey, I think.

DAT is way more elusive and faster than him.

Still would be awesome, but not quite as much.

Simple mathetmatics:

Shitty defenses give up more yards.
Better defenses give up less yards.

To say he would do as well is moronic.

I agree that he is and he always gives LSU fits, but Thomas has a gear not many guys have. He is trindon fast and way more elusive.

He wouldn't be successful in the SEC. He will be cramping up the whole time like he did in high school against that Georgia team....

They are same player. Just have to separate the offenses they are in to see it.

He's not Percy Harvin. Who was a thicker, stronger player.

I think OMC is thicker than Thomas too. I just think Thomas is faster and shiftier in the open than OMC.

He wouldn't do as well against defenses like Alabama, LSU, or Florida this year, but no one does. He'd still wreck shite against the likes of Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, etc.

So not as good consistently, but still freakin' good.

I agree with this.

Not saying DT wouldn't have success, I'm just saying I don't think the "well Percy harvin did it in the SEC" is a good argument

Simply because we know that Harvin is a dang good NFL player and he was strong enough to deal with the SEC defenses.

how can you disagree with this.. yeah geno is awesome, but would he really have ever gotten the opportunity?

deanthony thomas while a freshman at the time looked scared to death against LSU. he looks fragile and like he'd get his arse kicked.

Good comparison. Trindon made his name on turning the corner and out running everyone. DAT is a full service back and is elusive as a mother fricker. Plus he can hide behind the big linemen and by the time you realize he has the ball he's gone.

He had 2 KR for 53 yards, that's 26.5 avg
He had 6 catches for 47 yards, 7.8 avg
He had 4 rushes for 22 yards, 5.5 avg and a TD

that aint exactly scared #s for a kid in his first college game ever, against one of the best defenses of the BCS era. It was obious to me during the game DAT was gonna be a special player, not sure what game you saw.

DAT is a fricking beast.

OK.

So if someone fumbles it's because they are scared? He was a true freshman, sometimes young guys fumble the ball. They arent used to securing the football as well coming out of HS where no one could run with them.
