Steroid era started in the 80s so thanks for debunking your own qualifier.

What facts were presented in that article to specifically show player salaries were down?
It seems money has just shifted into a more polar system

You keep bringing up decades I didn’t mention.

You people can’t stay on topic long enough to have a coherent conversation. Nothing you say can be supported so you’re jumping all over the place.

The original statement that you made to start this discussion tree was:

Offense has gone down since the widespread use of analytics.
Now you're claiming you didn't mention the entire era pre-analytics?

What?
Nice deflection from a guy who is arguing facts when he hasn't posted any that support his argument.
Then when you're called out on it, you say everyone else is incoherent, when you haven't said anything of factual substance in pages.

Which specific decades are relevant?
Not the 90s, or 80s. Shall we compare runs/game today to the 70s? 60s?

So in you and wests theory, baseball didn’t evolve for 50 years prior to the steroid era, which y’all can’t even get correct lol.

No. The game is always evolving.
The current evolution hasn't made scoring get lower than historical norms for the past 50 years outside of the steroid era, which is your claim.

You just contradicted yourself.
Posted on 5/26/23 at 9:28 pm to SlowFlowPro
No I didn’t say anything about the steroid era, you and West did and you’re both wrong because you got the era incorrect.

Last 10 years 4.45 runs per game
Years between steroids and
analytics - 4.72 runs per game.
Thanks for playing

a. What specific years are you using?
b. Why didn't you state that specific time period earlier?
Looks like you're moving goalposts
