His stats are Top 5 in just about every major passing category. If he stays in the league 2-3 more years he just might pass Peyton Manning's career numbers. He has 11 AFC Conference Championship Game appearances, 7 Super Bowl appearances, and 4 Super Bowl victories (with a possibility of a 5th a week from Sunday). What more does he need to prove?

He is, the argument is who is second, I say John Elway considering all the shite teams be had to carry in the late 80s and early 90s before eventually going back to back.

Brady has had the privilege of playing for the Patriots his whole career. They are the most well run organization in the NFL. They have the quite possible GOAT head coach. It's an environment built for success. Peyton Manning has all the stats, has taken four different head coaches to the Super Bowl, and is the only QB to win the game with two different franchises.

My boss who doesn't watch football said earlier this week, "Peyton manning, that's the qb that looks like he has parkinsons when he audibles?"

He has only been first team all pro twice. Manning has 7 times.

Manning has dominated under a ton of different head coaches and two different teams. Brady has been Belichicks game manager of choice and they don't miss a beat without him.

If he does break Mannings statistical records, he will have had to play several years longer than Manning did.

Manning has won five MVPS to Brady's two.

Brady played for a single head coach and organization. That group gave him an elite defense to work with early in his career which resulted in 3 rings. When he became the focal point, they continued to excel, but they didn't win the rings. That same organization and coach realized it and they went back to building elite defenses to complement a qb.

Results? Chance to win 5.

If an organization like the current broncos had manning for close to 20 years, you'd see similar results. People do not realize how poorly managed those colt teams were, yet manning on the team consistently made them a contender.

Because he played in an era where another QB won MVP 1/3 of the seasons he was healthy. You can't be the best of all-time when you are not the best of your era. He only has been 1st team all pro 2 times. That is the biggest indictment.

His lack of wow throws and average arm talent also makes people look at him as just a replaceable cog in Billy B's program. He is really unlikable and probably a closet pillow biter.

Exactly. They're still great with Brady as the focal point and cornerstone of their team, but they're not some unreal dynasty like they were early. They win Super Bowls at the rate that teams with all time great QBs do. Not every year, but quite often in the game.

Belichick has coached two seasons in New England without Brady as his starting quarterback, and they have missed the postseason both times.

Tom Brady is the GOAT end of discussion, no 2 ways about it. We will probably never see another one like him in our lifetimes.

Since he became the focal point they are not the same dominant team. People like re- write history all the time.

Brady was Trevor Siemian in his 1st 2 super bowls. A young QB with an elite defense. Siemian had a passer rating of 84.6 this year. In 2001 and 2003 Brady had a passer rating of 86.5 and 85.9.

Since he won his 1st MVP in 2007 he is 1-2 in Superbowls and honestly should be 0-3 if it were not for a dumb play call by the Seahawks.

He benefits from a pass happy offense, but what Drew Brees has done is incredible. He has more 5000 yards seasons than every other QB combined. 5 to 4.

He's no John Elway. But GOAT arguments are so subjective that I really don't have a problem with people having their lists based on their own criteria.

I will say that I've never been one who measured greatness of individual players by championships unless their teams had very similar opportunities and talent.

"How is ______ not the best ______ ever to play ______?" is never not a totally stupid question.

They went 5-11 his first year, they missed the playoffs with Brady in 2002 although they did go 9-7, and then went 11-5 when Brady was injured.so it isn't like they sucked without Brady minus that first year Bill was in NE.
