How football players are remembered

Are there any players that you can think of, who were great in both college and NFL, that, when you think of them, images of their college career come to mind first? The Larry Fitzgerald thread got me thinking. Dude was a stud at both levels but instantly, I think Cardinals and not Pitt.

I remember Shaun Alexander as Bama first, but thats because I was at the game he ran for like 300 yards against LSU in 96, he just broke another 70 yard since I typed this. Also Cam Newton is the answer to this.

I always picture Joe Thomas and TJ Watt at Wisconsin first, and Julius Peppers at UNC for basketball.

Warren Sapp?
ETA: can’t believe this wasn’t first and I didn’t think of it. Peyton Manning.

OJ Simpson. Everybody knows he ran for 2,000 yards but it’s hard to think of a play or image from his professional career because he played on godawful Buffalo Bills teams for his entire career. But people know about that legendary run against UCLA and the image of him being carried off the field by cheering fans.

Not football but it is Steph Curry for me. The guy changed the way the game is played and has won 4 rings. But it's always his day at Davidson that come to mind first for me

I think of Fitzgerald as Pitt, but only because he was on the cover of whatever year of the NCAA video game

Charles Woodson for me. Always think of him at Michigan.

Doug Flutie, but I’m not sure he meets your criteria. Probably not.

For me, as an Ole Miss fan, Patrick Willis.
But in general, I would say Byron Leftwich (not a great NFL career, but was pro for 10 years). I will always remember him at Marshall against Akron being carried down the field with a broken leg. Toughest player / moment I've ever seen.
