I'm sort of on the fence with this. The Holidays seem like good people. Lauren had her brain tumor when they were in New Orleans, and Jrue stopped playing for a bit to be with her during recovery. It seems like family and home life is of the upmost importance to them, so I get not wanting to stay in Milwaukee while Jrue lives elsewhere during the season.

However, moving at a moment's notice is always a possibility in sports. Military families have to go through the same thing. She shouldn't have been blindsided by this. Like someone else said, she's just venting.

and jrue got paid every nickel of his contract. seems like the business of her husband's employers have been very kind about the personal side of the business over the years. nba has done nothing but support their family and this is a cheap shot at them.

I wish she mentioned this in her post and that New Orleans did not treat her husband like it was "business". Then she could go on and blast the Bucks.

Didn't take long, but we've gotten to the root of Chad's actual issue here.

Entitlement at its finest. The one world utopia these people dream of does not exist. Life isn't easy.

I know it's commonplace in pro sports, but imagine if your company just called you right now and said they were moving you to a different city with no heads up. You would be pissed too, so I see where she's coming from.

If my company was paying me what Jrue is making a year, they could move me to a new city every 6 months and I wouldn’t give a shite.

these NBA players are not humans. They are animals balancing a ball for our entertainment and damn them if they forget it

I realize that you are using the term animals to inflame the comment, but in reality they are a source of entertainment and that's why they are paid as much as they are. Why should we care about them in a personal sense? We don't know them personally. There are thousands of people every year who have their jobs transferred to another city, I don't really care about them either

When Jrue signed his contract with the Pels, he could have easily taken less and included a no trade clause... could have waived it to go to Mil.. and it would still be intact unless he chose to waive it again, even after an extension... but Jrue and his wife opted for more money and then he was subject to being traded.

I mean you don't have to react at all. She's upset that her family has to completely uproot themselves from the community they've gotten accustomed to in order to move another city.

Not really a big deal.

Exactly. And I also see it as a message to fans more than anything. I know when I've seen players traded to the Astros mid season, if they aren't completely happy and smiley about it, the fans ragged on them relentlessly. For example, when Vasqeuz came over as catcher last year, the Astros were literally playing Boston and he got told about it by the media. As you can imagine, he looked shell shocked in the interviews. But fans were all...how can he not be thrilled to be traded to a WS team? The whole family has lives in their city. It's a disruption. Not an excuse because they make millions of $$$. But it doens't mean the family or player can make an instant transition.

I think she's mostly being honest about their feeling and letting fans know that it's still hard, even when you're a millionaire...because it is.
