Everything the Warriors do is predicated on the outside shot.

Yes, they have a lot of assists and they score in the paint. However, that's all because teams have to overplay the three point line. If Curry and them aren't hitting threes, then they're in trouble.

There's a lot more defense played in the postseason. Especially when you run into Memphis.

The Warriors play a lot better defense than Houston. That is why Golden State is a contender. I don't think anyone is beating LA anymore though

I think I'm going to pull for them going forward. Wouldn't mind seeing the best PG of our generation get a ring.

ITs in the threads baw

I just wanted to see a series but I cannot even watch these games. You were saying the Warriors blasted the Pels and were putting their scrubs in a series where the average margin of defeat was 8 points. Then we got this frickin snooze fest where ya boys are getting blown out by an average of 25 point per game in 3 losses

Son I am disappoint

Good for you man maybe you should look into working as an analyst because a lot of the most respected national writers, analysts, etc had HOU winning the series.

Those 82 games were regular season games. That really doesn't mean much in the postseason. The Rockets play no defense. They are not a team built to win a title. They were a good team. They weren't some outstanding team.

That makes no sense....ball, court dimensions, clock..it's all the same, did you not even see Hoosiers? Didn't the rockets have an above average defensive rating?

I have no idea how any respectable analyst could have possibly picked Houston to win this series. That actually blows my fricking mind.

I never expected HOU to win it all IF they lose this series oh well I wouldn't be more or less disappointed than if they lost to DAL in Rd 1, or GSW in the conf finals. A loss is a loss. When the goal is a championship anything short of that is a disappointment we won't be taking any moral victories like losing a "competitive" sweep.

the game slows down in the playoffs and the defenses become tighter. I don't understand how you can say regular season basketball =playoff basketball, but whatever.

You're a Houston fan and that's cool. Love your team. I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this, but this Houston team with this collection of players, will not win an NBA title. Absolutely not happening. Not this year, not next year, not the year after.

If you can't recognize the difference between regular season basketball and postseason basketball, then I don't know what to tell you.

The Rockets have been abysmal in both series on the defensive end. Maybe their regular season numbers aren't translating to the postseason - when everything is slowed down and a half court game, way more adjustments are made, and coaching is extremely important.

McHale is very outclassed by Rivers. That's certainly a part of it.

pretty sure you're not gonna find many rockets fans who will refute this.

Yeah you'd be hard pressed to pull a moral victory out of this one

people said Lebron wouldn't win a title. People said Griffin was too soft. Etc. Etc.

I think the "moral victory" would be just making the second round, but (while it was nice) it amounts to nothing.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Rockets coach Kevin McHale said he started Hack-A-DJ early because Dwight Howard got in foul trouble early & they wanted to slow game down.

Like I said, their inability to play a slow game is killing them
