I disagree. MJ did take everything personally and used it as motivation to beat you. KD whines like a little bitch. That’s one reason he had to join forces to win his titles. He’s not though enough mentally to be the alpha on a team and lead them to a title.

MJ and Tiger have both completely cut Barkley out of their lives. I love Charles but it says more about him than anything. We all love that he speaks his mind but when you do that it’s eventually going to cost you friends. I love Charles though and we need more people like him.

Tiger got rid of both of them because at the time he couldn't be seen champagning and campaigning with the fellas.

There has to be more to the Barkley thing, right?

What makes Michael Jordan the best basketball player to ever play the game also makes him an absolutely despicable human being and a borderline psychopath.

Off topic but I wonder why Luc Longley didn't get any air time or really any mentions in the doc.

Granted, I think he lives in Australia but he was the starting center so he must really loathe MJ or something.

As for Grant, I have no clue if he was the source or not but IIRC MJ wasn't the only guy that thought that in the episode. And I'm glad Sam Smith was not in the last episodes because he was really off putting with those Joker-ish facial contortions he was doing.

Well we know his motivation. He's fricking sensitive as hell. No one can criticize the guy or he gets butthurt.

Then why would you or SI be butthurt that he told them to frick off

Nah but he seems like the person that would have stayed up until 4 AM personally responding to 500 twitter egg trolls and cursing them out under his official account.

MJ and Tiger are so similar in the fact they were raised by horrible humans. Their fathers were shitty humans.

The strange thing is that when Michael’s dad died, he never went through some midlife crisis like Tiger did. I honestly think that helped Tiger as a human being. It humbled him. By all accounts he’s actually tried to and become a nice and decent human. By all accounts he’s a great father which is all that matters. Sure he had the DUI when he was hooked on pain pills but his body was broken and even good people mess up in that regard.

By all accounts MJ is still an awful person and father. You can see the stress and guilt he carries when you look in his eyes. He’s a drunk. He looked like a someone who was tired and defeated in the documentary.

i'm in the MJ is the GOAT camp but he is a soulless void of a human being. You can tell he doesn't have friends, just cronies. Whatever helped him win, I guess. So basically Tony Soprano, except Tony was probably a better dad.

Tiger and MJ are still friends. Tiger hasn’t spoken to Barkley in 11 years.

MJ is and has always been an a-hole. The GOAT, sure. But a complete prick.

See that's the thing. In MJ's day, you knew who your critics were and could beat them.

Today, you can't beat an anonymous Twitter troll. I think MJ would have made it personal, but you can't win those battles in the social media age.

What do you think a mid-life crisis is? Screwing a bunch of strange? MJ did plenty of that too.

I'm not sure why Grant is so bothered by the 1.8 seconds incident being discussed. In the context of Pippen being the #1 guy during Jordan's retirement, and to a lesser extent Kukoc's arrival from Europe, it was a big deal in Chicago at the time. It would've been stupid to ignore.

Plus I thought the documentary did a good job covering how Cartwright spoke up, Pippen apologized, and they all moved on after it happened, just like Grant said. Kerr even pointed out it was out of character.

Also, MJ only called him selfish in regards to delaying his surgery so he wasn't ready for the final season. He called him a great teammate otherwise. Pippen was one of my favorite players, and I really didn't pick up on his portrayal being that negative.

This is a hilarious take. Durant never wanted to win at all costs and never wanted to be a leader.

You guys are acting like he played in the 60’s when there was one tv channel. Jordan was followed everywhere he went and he said his only safe place was a room by himself.

Today, Jordan could speak much more than he does about any particular subject and people would listen, but he chooses to keep quiet because he knows he doesn’t have to. He knew his time and he never backed down.

For the better part of 20 years the two most recognizable people on earth were nicknamed MJ. Think about that for a minute.
