I laugh at the potential of Bama being left out but the logical side of my brain tells me that Bama should be in..

Would this even be a conversation if Jordan Travis didn’t get hurt? Let’s just assume for the argument FSU beat Florida and Louisville by the same scores.

This is crazy. That FSU defense is special. I could absolutely see them stoning Michigan’s offense and winning a low scoring game.

Washington would be shell-shocked playing that defense.

People haven’t given FSU enough credit for the talent they roll out on the field this year.

Lol if you think anyone is boat racing FSU with how their defense is playing.

It's 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship, not the 2003-2023 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Not nearly as much but a starting qb is absolutely relevant and written into their protocol of discussion

Bama’s close win over rival = that should hurt Bama.

Texas’ close loss to rival = we can ignore that

FSU’s > one touchdown win over rival = muh it doesn’t count for anything cause it was with a second team QB?

FSU would beat bammer right now with their back up qb. Bammer needed a miracle to beat auburn

not to mention a couple of do-over gifts from the officials

Nobody is boat racing THAT defense. You can argue style all you want. That is irrelevant in who deserves to be in.

Sorry, but without Travis, even LSU beats this FSU team.

Nobody is boat racing that defense and their backup QB is pretty good. Bama has t looked good all year. Bama fans are so goddamn delusional.

Non of that needs to be ignored. And if these two teams didn’t play this season then you could put more weight into which loss was worse. But they did play and Bama lost. That should be end of story.

then why didn't they leave out a 2014 Ohio State team that was on their 3rd String QB and had lost by double digits to a 6-6 regular season Virginia tech team?

Hell, I’d like LSU’s chances against UW maybe even more.

I would never pretend the criteria should be my personal “eye test” though.

So if Bama suffered injuries to key players in the SECCG they should be out?
