The story I recall is a homeless person walked into the road and drunk or not, Stallworth could not have avoided the incident. That was the saving fact as I recall.
Lmao bad memory. He killed a man who just got off of work and was trying to catch a bus home.

How many after a verified comment about the DWI?

Not my website. Not my legal advice.

The charge for DUI causing substantial bodily harm or death is a category “B” Felony, which is the second most severe level of Felony in Nevada law. In this instance, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment in Nevada State Prison system for a minimum term of 2 years and a maximum term 20 years. It also carries a fine of between $2,000.00 to $5,000.00. More importantly, DUI causing substantial bodily harm or death is a non-probationable offense, meaning if you are convicted, you must go to prison.

Didn’t he hit a pedestrian who jumped out into the road?
Yeah he was drunk and hit a guy who was in the road. Different circumstances of course but it was the only incident that I could reference.
Sounds like Ruggs rear ended a car and it burst into flames killing the other driver.

The decedent illegally ran onto a highway or interstate, which is what created that situation. Alcohol or not, it wasn't due to Stallworth.
Stallworth was speeding in a 40 mph zone. Idk of any highways or interstates with that slow of a speed limit.

You would think he would have made a batter choice after his best friend was killed in a car crash while they were in HS.
I remember ESPN doing a story on GameDay about it.

20 years max for murdering someone?

RIP to the deceased, and frick Ruggs for drunk driving with so many resources available to him to specifically prevent it that he chose to not use.
But damn, Derek Carr can't catch a break. They have a good start to the season then his coach gets pressured out of the job and his star wideout is probably also going to be gone for a long time if not permanently.

Ruggs is a complete piece of shite and his life and career are over. Horrible human.
Yikes, somebody downvoting. The guy just killed a person?

quote:I mean, I do feel bad for him. It's ok to have empathy for a guy who made a decision he'll never come back from. But IF he was drinking and driving, I hope he gets prison time and never plays football again. Family members of the deceased have it even worse because of his decision.
Awful lot of thoughts and prayers in this thread for a dude who just killed someone while driving impaired.

DUI manslaughter is not considered murder.

Killing, not murdering.
It's in the 2nd highest class of felonies.
I imagine the ones in the class above are actual murder, rape, etc.
He's also likely not going to be able to rely on any insurance coverage so whatever is left of his contract (after its voided shortly) will go towards the victim (after lawyer's and bonds fees).
