My heart aches for both sets of parents. As much as you want to protect your kids from others or quite often themselves. Then something like this hits out of nowhere.

What are the gf’s injuries?

They already pulled the black box from the car by last night

I don’t think saying “wait for the facts” is white knighting for the guy. We just literally had almost no pertinent info at the time, so people were saying let’s wait to see what the investigation finds. Either way, here we are now, all living a better life now than a man that was on top of the world just a couple of days ago.
It’s sad to see both a perished woman, and a man throw his life away to presumably show off to his gf. He will have a lot of time to reflect, and hopefully he can give something of importance back to the community when he is done.

Not that it’s the same but I believe her dog was in the vehicle and burned as well. Maybe that’s what you read.

People waited for the facts and now most agree he’s a monster. The fact that you got to be outraged first isn’t some award you win. It’s always a good idea to wait for facts.

They probably had the info from the performance data recorder which includes a dash cam.
A rear impact at 127mph would be enough to kill you or be knocked unconscious. Anyone know the speed limit on the road to help figure out the speed difference at impact? Based on the distanced traveled after impact shown in yesterdays pics, we already knew there was a large speed differential

He was driving 156 MPH, his BA level was twice the legal limit, and oh yeah he had a loaded gun in the car! A 23 year old girl is dead because of him, but yet some people white knighted for Ruggs yesterday and decided to stick up for a killer and shite on me. “Wait to see all the facts!!” How shitty do y’all feel right now?

I imagine on a death case, they pulled the black box info. It only takes a few minutes if you have the equipment.
I was trying to hold my tongue about the "assumption" argument yesterday, but if he was charged with that charge, they had his blood already. Clearly they had the black box info, too. Yes we were assuming, but anyone who has had to deal with a major DWI prosecution knows that assumption was a mere formality once he was charged.

The facts help me determine the way we should feel about Ruggs. Why would it make it make any of us feel shitty to know those facts?

With all the facts that have come out, I feel nothing but sorrow and rage, much like the family of the victim probably feels right now. Ruggs should be sued by the family for every single penny he has and should do no less than 10 years in prison. I hope he gets longer

IDK the speed limit but I've read a few times that it's "rainbow rd" and Vegas locals say that they can't believe he was able to reach that speed. Apparently there are tons of stop lights.

as a Vegas local, going 156 MPH is crazy enough, but the area the crash happened is a very residential part of town with stoplights every half mile or so, the fact he was able to get that fast in that part of town is certifiably insane.

I mean in a morbid way, this is a really good commercial for the new vette. As posted in the OT thread, it held up pretty well considering it hit something at 127mph. Now, we get this acceleration stuff where he was able to go faster than anyone thought possible.
I know the above is absurd but I imagine it's about the only positive that can be spun out of this horrible situation.

Can i take a brief moment to give kudos to the engineering team at Chevrolet? How ruggs wasn't killed from a front end impact at that speed is pretty impressive, honestly.
