Maybe I’m a fricking idiot, but I’m not a killer. Two things I never admitted to driving drunk, and my response saying the car caught on fire after being rear ended was in response to somebody else talking about the car catching fire.

He's in the hospital with a broken hip.

Look. You might be right man.
And if you’re emotional about this issue because someone you care about has been killed or hurt because of drunk driving I get it and I apologize if it seems like people are desensitizing that for you.
I don’t think that is the case here. I think basically everyone has said that it looks very likely Ruggs did a horrendous thing, and if so he should be in jail for a very long time. I think it’s just ok to wait for a few more details to be certain of it. The car burst in flames which may have mean he hit it going way too fast, but there’s also a possibility (albeit small) the other car had a leak or something like that.
The Donte Stallworth situation taught me a lot on this. I called him a killer and didn’t wait for all the facts to come out. Again, he shouldn’t have been impaired, but I realized how harsh I was to judge before knowing everything first.

Great post with good insight. I probably have come across pretty harsh in this thread. It wasn’t my intention, but this is a situation that does hit pretty close to home with me. I shouldn’t judge before not knowing all the facts, I guess it’s just a sensitive topic.

Yeah. Let's let the facts come out. This rush to judgement society we live in needs to calm the frick down. Peoples lives get ruined by it all the time (Duke lacrosse players).
It appears very bad and if felony DUI murder it would appear that the BAL has been noted but we don't know that as a fact yet.

Speaking of rushing to judgement, here's the headline from the Daily Mail
quote:
Drunk Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs will be charged with DUI resulting in death after smashing his Corvette into back of SUV at 3:30am in Vegas and killing driver

So drinking and driving is still here? I thought we all wised up on this.

The TMZ article mentioned he posted a video from the LV Top Golf around midnight. The screen cap they had didn’t show the drink table, so you cannot see what they were drinking
Edit: looking back at the screen cap, there is a mixed drink in the lower right corner

So if people waited for more information to come out, would it be unreasonable to still not want anyone to die?

this could get interesting, what will NFL do?
One guy is not going to play, because of accusations, in lawsuits, not the court of law.
One guy was drunk and killed some one with his car.
NFL and their hypocrisy could be pushed

I'd be shocked if Ruggs plays until (if) he's cleared of any wrongdoing.
