This is exactly the problem. He really is not funny. Golic was the funny one on the show, which now forces him to be the straight man and it fricks up what Golic was good at .

National sports talk radio on the whole is garbage. I think the 90's and early 2000's may have been the peak for it

Met Jr. at a tailgate for the bama game and he is one arrogant prick. Takes himself way too serious and talks like he got the job on his own merits. He is nothing like his dad, seemingly a genuine nice guy.

I thought Mike & Mike was okay. Not anything I went out of my way to listen to, but if they were discussing a topic I was interested in I would leave it over the station.
I find Golic and Wingo unlistenable. I don't even check to see what they are talking about on the morning commute.

I am in the minority. Golic and Wingo is a monumental upgrade from Mike and Mike as Greenie used the last few years of that show to promote his books and advance ESPNs political agenda.
I’m addition, Wingo is exponentially more entertaining and intelligent that Greenie.
With that said, put SVP and Russillo in the same time slot and they crush the ratings of Golic and Wingo.

The peak was the time Jerome from Manhattan called in while hospitalized with high blood pressure to angrily complain about the Yankees potentially trading minor leaguer Brandon Claussen. He'd call almost every other day growling "I DON'T WANNA TRADE CLAUSSEN". Claussen would go on to pitch 6 innings for the Yankees in a forgettable career but Jerome talked him up like he was Sandy Koufax.
