as a saints fan, i feared young when we played the niners way more than i feared montana.

you should have feared both of them. The 49ers were 30-9 against the Saints from 1980-1999, 16-5 under Montana and 14-4 under Young.

Montana says Marino is the GOAT. Brady has said that too. Individually I’d agree. Super Bowl and regular season wins, I still personally go Brady then Joe.

Brees and Marino are too low.
Mahomes is too high.
He’s not better than Rodgers nor should be ahead of him yet.
Bradshaw, Favre, and Elway are all slightly overrated.
Johnny U deserves to be on this list.

This is probably going to get some hate but Terry Bradshaw should not be on that list. Sure, he won 4 Super Bowls but he had HOFers Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, Mike Webster, John Stallworth among other great players on offense and HOFers Jack Lambert, Mean Joe Greene and the Steel Curtain on defense which I consider the best defense of all time.

I don't want to take anything away from him, but you can't help but realize those teams were stacked with talent.

Switch Bradshaw with Unitas or Otto Graham and call it a day.

Brady definitely did not say that Marino is better than him. That's idiotic. Maybe he said that in like 2005

Bradshaw in the top 10 is ludicrous.

Why should this be held against him? Most teams that build and maintain Super Bowl winning success aren’t doing it with scrubs off the waiver wire year in and year out. Generally speaking, you need a solid defense and playmakers on offense to even have a chance. Would you make the argument that Jerry Rice doesn’t really belong in the discussion of greatest wr’s because he spent the majority of his career catching passes from 2 HOF QB’s?

Agree. I never wanted Montana to get hurt, because Young could take off for 50 yards.

Anderson and Fouts were both better than Bradshaw not to mention Staubach. Any of those guys would have been an upgrade for the Steelers.

I wouldn't have had Bradshaw on the list, Unitas instead.

Elway above stave young is fantastic

Steve young is the most under appreciated QB ever

Young- not ranked

64.3%—221 yards/g—1.92td/g—0.74 int/g—96.8 rating

Elway-54 on list

56.9%—234 yards/g—1.44 tds/g—0.98 int/g—79.9 rating(woof)

Freaking young has damn near modern QB stats from his era. It’s insane how good he was and nobody mentions him barely

Young could also run effectively, very rare in his era. 4,239 career rushing yards on 5.9 yards per carry and 43 rushing TDs.

Brees should be #6. I can't argue with the top 5 because championships do matter. But Bradshaw is highly overrated in these top qb lists. Brees would be even higher if didn't play with historically bad defenses for 15 years.

Edit: I have the same list as below except switch Favre and Rodgers

9. Favre
8. Rodgers
7. Marino
6. Brees
5. Elway
4. Mahomes

1. Brady
