Back in like 2013 there was a random arse night where multiple Texas info sites were going off on how a story about UT athletics was gonna break imminently and it would be a total nuclear blast for the athletic department

Nothing ever came from that. Always wondered what they were talking about. There have been some rumors over the years but nothing really concrete

This part alone is enough to make the story. Was there like a vote and Bennigans lost?

I think of this thread every time I see Melissa Stark on Sunday nights.

Just what they want you to think lol. Raven to that point had outscored opponents like 55-60something to like 10 in their 6 quarters of superbowl play.

Vortex Theory The theory's origin is uncertain, but one of its most ardent believers is none other than Darrell Waltrip. The theory goes that getting cars going around the race track causes a “vortex” that keeps rain away or it creates so much heat that rain droplets evaporate before they hit the ground.

Ok I know this is old but I gotta comment on this one

I love DW but as a weather nerd got so tired hearing about his stupid Vortex theory

Then I saw it actually happen several times once when I was In person. There was absolutely no other explanation for the situation than the vortex theory

It was like a Han Solo in the force awakens moment for me, "it's true, all of it is true"

FTR, if it works I think it's only in situations of light rain not some kind of huge storm but like
I said I can't deny it after what I saw

A secret society of Alabama boosters murdered one of their own in 2006 to prevent him from disclosing the true extent of Alabama’s corruption and the group’s existence.

100% true.

In 2007 during Saban’s first year at Alabama there was a rumor he was drunk driving and wrecked his Mercedes at night near his home. Police and university quickly contained it and that is why Saban stopped drinking.

In honor of Big George…

George Foreman’s conspiracy from ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’ (1974) is a wild one. The 25-year-old champ, 40-0 with 37 KOs, was set to dominate Muhammad Ali in Kinshasa, Zaire, but lost via Ali’s rope-a-dope KO in the eighth. Years later, Foreman claimed he was drugged. He said his water tasted off and he tired too fast for a guy who’d bulldozed Frazier and Norton. He’s hinted at betrayal by his camp, maybe tied to Mobutu’s propaganda or betting fixes, though there’s zero proof and drug tests weren’t a thing then. Skeptics say Ali’s tactic just broke him, no foul play needed, but Foreman’s odd fade keeps the ‘what if’ alive.

probably been mentioned, but MJ‘s dad was murdered by the mob when Jordan didn’t want to pay off huge gambling debts, MJ thought he was “bigger than the system”, mob taught him really quickly otherwise. As you mentioned, NBA found out. Told him to take some time off.

Carlos Correa's 2019 rib/back injury was not due to an in-home massage or whatever they said it was (but it was something along those lines). His wife beat the shite out of him, and it wasn't just one time that it happened

Heard this one through the grapevine about the 2007 Bama loss to ULM - John Parker Wilson and DJ Hall got into a fist fight at practice the week leading up to the game. JP caught wind DJ Hall was running around with his Phi Mu GF. Saban suspended DJ Hall for the game, ended up having to get him to dress out for the 2nd half, but the damage was already done and the Tide went down.
