I thought I read on either the tiger or SEC rant that some big blowup happened the night before 21-0 and it completely threw the LSU team off that night. Is that thing?

Has the reason former NLU D-1AA National Championship winning Coach Pat Collins assaulted his wife been mentioned?
Northeast Louisiana football coach Pat Collins, who led his team to the national Division 1-AA championship in 1987, resigned Wednesday following his weekend arrest on a charge of aggravated battery of his wife. (from UPI)
Everyone said he came home from a recruiting trip and found her in bed with his OC. The assault was said to be him throwing a clock at them in bed, and it hit her in the head.

Venables and Clemson were great at getting signs so not hard to believe.
