I can't remember how, but I randomly found this board while working at LSU. I liked the OT and F&D Board so I stayed around even after I left LSU. Like a few posters said, this is one of the sites that the layout isn't from the mid 90's and has a wide range of content.

As the plains burn. Probably the single most monumental thread ever had on any sports message board. It was the cam newton scandal thread on the SECRant

Food Board and Politics Board.
But the politics board has become extremely unbearable. So I still hang around the Food & Beer board and the More Sports is pretty good to read during college football and college baseball seasons.

They were basically the worst parts of Reddit. You say one thing that the hive mind disagreed with and you were "neg repped" into oblivion. Some of them try that here but despair when their downvotes are ultimately ignored.

I usually stayed on the Other Sports and their version of the O-T Lounge. Those boards were pretty civil and had some funny shite. The MSPaint threads and the one day where they unveiled the statues and everyone started photoshopping them were some of the best days.
My best, and probably last, day on there was the Texas Bowl when Arkansas beat the shite out of them. I popped in their at halftime, with the same username, and asked how things were going. I got neg repped into oblivion.

My second hand observation is a lot of people love to troll LSU fans. This board is a lot more tolerant of other POVs. Tidefans as an example would never let most of the stuff on MsB or Tiger rant to get through.

one of my best friends is an lsu fan and now alum and he got me on here when we were growing up.
the layout has definitely made me stay. it's the best layout/UI of any message board ive ever seen. makes it bearable.

My screename says it all as I’m an OSU fan but live in BR and have been an LSU season ticket holder since 1995. Have 2 daughters (no pics) already graduate LSU and 1 daughter (no pics) there now.
I read the rant but do not post there out of respect for the LSU fans as its your space. The MSB is a place for fans of all other teams and sports.

Texags is much worse. They don't allow you to post more than 3 times a day or post topics until you have at least 30 posts. You aren't allowed to post more than 1 topic/day until you have 100 posts.
