I was at Turner in 2016 when a fan in the upper deck fell over the railing and hit head-first on a lower-deck seat. Right as A-Rod was pinch hitting. Saw it happen right in front of my eyes.

First of all, hope he’s gonna be okay. That was a gnarly fall.

Secondly, 100% this:

quote:

The gf and 2 other friends have to step in if he’s in that bad shape.

I get not wanting to be the “Debbie Downer” or party pooper or whatever, but baw was literally ripping his shirt off and pouring beers on himself in the stands (according to that Reddit post). Dude obviously needs to be personally responsible too, but you have to step in before it gets to that point.

We just don't know if he wanted to unalive himself in grand fashion or if it was a Darwin award.

My God. Will people please stop saying this stupid shite?

Right. There is a thread on the OT talking about “unaliving someone”. Took me a minute to get it.

Do keep in mind that he was watching baseball.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Cubs and have the MLB TV package so I can watch them, but it's so much more bearable when you're drinking and/or sitting in the bleachers watching the talent and all the shenanigans that occur there.

No updates on the guy that I've seen.

Hope old boy is ok, but when you have a fall like that you can’t just lay there. Got to rub some dirt on it and walk it off.

Step in at what point? Dude is (was?) an adult. I can't be the one totally responsible.
Even people that are slightly inebriated will do stupid stuff. Do you just prevent your friends from consuming any alcohol?

There’s a huge difference between “don’t let your significant other drink at all” and “don’t let your significant other get so wasted at a public event he rips his shirt off and lunges over a fricking railing.”

We were at the Tenn/NC State kickoff game at the Dome in 2012 when the fan fell from the upper deck to club level. We were just a couple of sections away on the club level but luckily didn't see or hear it happen.

Did not stick the landing.

At least he didn't injure an innocent person with his recklessness

Unless he has a fake ID I'm guessing then either...
A) the reddit post was BS.
B) the beer vendors at PNC are gonna be in major trouble.

This article has him as 21

LINK

Cbsnews

Not saying whatever source says 20 is wrong, but did want to provide another source. This lists his name as well.

Also, this article aligns with what the redditor was saying right away about being with his girlfriend and another friend. I think his friend made his way down to the field after he fell.
