Bama would have given OSU a much better game because of one thing. QB play.

The same QB who managed 3 points against 6-6 Oklahoma?

There’s no solution to this problem with the conferences as currently constructed

For conferences of 16 teams there needs to be 4 pods of 4.

2 teams in the historic top half of the conference in terms of program winning percentage, 2 teams in the bottom half

9 game conference schedule with the remaining 6 conference games being split as 3 games against historic top half and 3 against historic bottom half.

It won’t be perfect, but will be as easy as possible

UGA played UT, Bama, Ole Miss, and UT.

OSU played Oregon, PSU, and Indiana.

Pretty sure we know they are high ceiling teams.

Cool so Kirk flat out admitting that the teams he already thinks are the best don’t have anything to prove. They are already the best. Doesn’t matter who they lose to.

If you put someone else besides the teams he already thinks will be good in, then that means you’re only picking them because they “deserve” to get in because of their “on field results”

You can almost see the espn exec hand all the way up his body making his mouth move at this point

The fact that the official account of the college football playoffs is putting out this content that is basically like “the playoffs got it wrong and these teams shouldn’t be here” is an insane message to intentionally send by the CFP playoff and espn

ESPN has a vested interest in arguing for the 12 best teams to be in the playoffs. They want the games to be competitive because they need to make their money back.

Then why is he ignoring the fricking giant 42-17 arse kicking Tennessee team right behind his head?

For multiple days he has chosen to ignore the team that got smoked the biggest. Why is that?

Not a fricking word out of his mouth about Tennessee not belonging due to their arse pounding. Why?

KH hates OSU fans since he was so wildly critiqued and criticized on the radio show ( I believe it was The fan 97.1) where he was one of the hosts back before his venture into sports broadcasting. He is actually very fond of his alma mater but has a serious issue with the fans. It is all personal.

In what universe do wins not count? They fricked over FSU last year, but now they want to reward the blue bloods with too many losses? It's all a crock of shite, just say you want to pick favorites.

Have you guys ever played any sports before? Serious question? Because it’s fairly obvious you haven’t if you can’t understand players and teams have bad games. When you have a weak schedule, it’s much much easier to rest your players and have a bad game and still win. Harder schedules are much much harder to do that, have a bad game and still win.

Given that, I don’t understand why we can’t have a RPI like college and then have a committee that votes based on those results. I guess that’s similar to the BCS.

At the end of the day, why do we care about any team beyond 6 or 8? Their chances of actually winning out are extremely slim in football. None of these teams on the fringe really had a chance, and that’s already proven.

Ahh cool

So it’s ok for bama to have a “bad game” and get arse blasted by Oklahoma and lose to Vandy, but just unacceptable for Indiana to lose 27-17 to ND in the playoffs

Go suck a BLM cock Kirk

How can he freaking ignore the game result he just called and simp for more sec teams?
ESPN has the SEC contract, CBS/Fox has the B1G. Duh.
This is what it will be like for the next decade guys. Get used to it - ESPN will lobby for Mississippi State to be in the playoff this year over fringe B1G schools. They're financially motivated to be biased.

Trying to make the argument 9-3 bama should have been put over 10-2 Tennessee who actually also beat Bama is just wild

But there are actually humans making that argument

I don't think its necessarily a good argument, but these types of arguments are needed in the current environment with strengths of schedule are so wildly different
