Have been begging for this for years. The damn thing got so big that they compressed the picture to get it in there. The other networks don’t do it and it keeps the game clean.

Then cut out all of the TV timeouts. Most people flip channels during commercial breaks. The sad part is I'll usually track 4 games at a time and it always seems like they are all on commercial breaks at the same time.

It annoying that non bettors bitch about betting. I don't bitch about how you spend your money. People that hunt or fish or golf spend a frickton on those things yet no one cares. At least with gambling I may win it back but I'm ok with losing what I bet or I wouldn't.

That is a great point. The best is when I have a feeling how a fight is going to go beforehand, then I’ll see the line and start questioning myself

Now lets see if the Disney budgeted worldwide leader can break the chains of 720p broadcast tech. Hell, NBC/CBS and have only been using 1080p for 20 yrs now and 1080i for the last five years.

I think this is the result of more accurate ratings feedback. With so many people using streaming services they can accurately see where ratings rise and fall. I can tell you for fact that I've seen a scoring update on the ticker and instantly flipped it over to watch a game that just got closer. They have probably figured that out.

As it relates to them utilizing 720p over a higher pixel rate broadcast, they claim that 720p is better for fast action sports. In early HD days they had something of a point, but not in the advent of better televisions and certainly not since 1080p (HDR) became the standard. The real reason is it gave them cheaper bandwidth and was less noticeablequality wise with the big arse advertising ticker taking up 20% of the screen.
